you know what, after this:

1EF8EECA1A635A608DD08A1A0A55230C4C8FDB77

im gonna call it for the night. I am going to do the sensible thing and end it on a high note, to wash away the awful evening. Yes, that sounds like a good idea

It still requires a small amount of zoning and getting lucky. I actually failed the first time at level 59.

Birdie, Bison and Nash are the most difficult to fight in Hell mode. Just have faith in your DP's.

Sweet, I'll probably tackle it friday night. Haven't tried it this week because I feel like getting home from work only to throw my free time into a failed survival run sounds terrible.

everytime I get back up to super bronze, this happens I sware to god

Im the zombie :p

edit: oh a Ken rage quit, how...cute[/QUOTE]

Post the vid. It's pretty good stress relief.

After the 4 times I worked from 800 to 900 to 1000, I staunchly believe there should be a cap somewhere.

This matchmaking is borked my scrub 900 karin against a 2000 FANG and 1800 R.Mika is a cruel joke. Almost twisted my controller in half.

hey buddy wanna spar at bit? We haven't played yet

dude, 2 things will happen

A) you will destroy me, which wont be fun for me and especially you actually

or

B) you will feel the need to throw games, and that does nothing for me >_>

ill take the A) option tho, if only for you to see how trash I am

I already asked this but I forgot, at what point does the AI becomes stupid in survival hard?

gonna try to do it with chun, wish me luck

I love going against guys above my rank.. It's one thing watching good players playing and analyzing their moves but it is another to actually play against them and learning from experience.. It may take me a while to get up in rank and it's fine as long as I'm being tempered like steel when I get there.

I think that's how it works in Killer Instinct... Like once you hit silver you can't get ranked down to bronze...
Which takes some of the stress off honestly...

One of the things about SFV I don't like is that it suppresses the want for me to play with other characters... I'm not risking my LP with an unknown commodity...

I absolutely wish rank in fighting games was tied to character... Like okay my Ken is shit, so he's ranked Rookie or whatever, but by Ibuki is God tier and ranked Gold, kind of thing.

It would certainly make me feel better about experimening with characters other than my main...

That or allow Casual Matches to have a different character selected than your main...

Lol u gotta play stronger players to grow man, trust me, it'll help you out in rank. Especially Mika, shes crazy good...

You should be playing Moradin every chance u get lol...

Have you been watching your replays? Watch them. It helps you realize your habbits. Same applies to someone sparring with you. If they are better than you and you start to take advantage over their opening they can review and also get better. (So it can be beneficial for everyone regardless of skill)

Losing is important, and it can be rough. Oh boy can it be rough, but a lot of good can come from those Ls.

im not even mad anymore, im just losing every match now. I feel like im not progressing at all, if anything I regressed. Its not even a "take a break" moment, im perfectly calm, im just shit I guess, starting to feel pointless to even play this.

Like, everyone apparnelty knows huge combos. I cant even do a 3 hit combo. Maybe fighters just arent for me anymore :/

I definitely know those feels man. Not gonna lie, I was kinda feeling myself in the first 4 or 5 days of release. Had a 12 win streak going and got up to 1300 LP. Then I picked up the pad Saturday night and started getting wrecked repeatedly - I seriously think I won maybe 2 out of 20 ranked games I played over the weekend. It's like a switch got flicked and all of a sudden I could barely get a hit in on anybody. It was pretty infuriating honestly.

Sense then I kinda just reset my brain and stopped putting so much pressure on myself to win, and instead focused on what I did right/wrong in the match.

I'm doing a little bit better but most of all its helping me just enjoy the game more. Doing battle lounges with friends and casual matches also helps relieve some of the pressure.

P.S. Were you playing ranked earlier today? I seem to remember playing against a R. Mika with a similar name as yours...

lets go then, gimme 2 sets. One for Nec Nec, one for Gief. You invite me, and then im hitting the hay cause its getting late

edit: logging on. first to 5s? should be fast against you lol

On a 7 game winstreak and above 1500LP, I'll end the day on a high note for once lol.

Anyone got any good Karin vs. Rashid matches? That's a big problem for me right now.

Feel free to add me as well, if you want more people to spar with (CFN is same as my Steam nickname, link in profile). If I an not mistaken, we are both EU and around 1k LP.

Ok are u Rhaknar on CPN as well?

cant find any Ucchedavada :(

Has anyone here gone from stick to pad, and found you like it better or found it easier to play on? Usually the inverse of this question is asked and I can't recall seeing it from this angle.

I've been using a PS3 TE Round 2 arcade stick since around 2009, and it feels like the the stick part itself is starting to show its age. It seems like it has a harder time registering QCF motions on the P1 side this week than it has in the past, where sometimes the move just wont come out anymore. If I hadn't been using it for so long the first thing I would question is my own input, but I don't think that's the case.

I'm considering replacing the part, getting a new arcade stick altogether, or maybe trying that Hori Fighting Commander game pad.

A second question, you Bison mains out there, who are you playing as an alt?

The main thing sticking out to me as I play this game-

holy shit i need to learn the frame data on everything.
SF4 punishes were so much simpler.

Not a hardcore player or anything but I do have a stick I used for SF4. I wanted to switch to pad just for accessibility reasons so I picked up the HorI commander pad a few days ago. Really like it so far. It's light weight, has a nice dpad and good sized face buttons. Don't think I'll be going back to a stick personally.

Tiny break. Almost lost to Sim on 77, only had enough life to take 1 heavy punch. Options were to have a small health upgrade or a level 2 defense. I went with the defense and beat Gief.

Almost lost to Necalli on 84 just now. Thankfully have a high health upgrade available.

This is draining.

Straight bodied by my first Fang encounter. Seriously going to have to spend some time messing with this character. I was just flailing blindly, no idea what the hell was going on lol.

Lost to Laura on 88. Sim really messed me up, left me with a tiny bit of health and only had a small health upgrade to use. Almost beat her too, it was so close.

NEVER trying that mode again.

I think that Ultra Bronze is now filled with very good players because that's where all the former Silver players that don't ragequit end up.

teleporting sucks ugh

i'm always so tempted to quit early on in the match but i feel bad for the other person but at the same time it's an awful experience getting batted around for no reason other than network stuff

Rhaknar, Necalli charge move is not safe on block. You definitely can't use it that much, only when you are sure of a hit or anticipated a fireball.

You should be rushing me down as Necalli not backing away and charging. Learn all his safe on block moves and basic combos. His c.mp and lk stomp and ex stomp are safe, use them more often. Really you hand to use all safe on block moves when advancing, hard moves and unsafe specials should be reads

Dont give me games Omni, I'd rather you perfect me >_>

Mained Bison for a couple of years in SF4 but I just can't get the hang of him here with the new normals. EX scissor kicks isn't a good punisher anymore either as I've noticed it gets stuffed often, headstomp seems much more unreliable although devil's reversal seems to have a much bigger hotbox.

Ono pls
