I fucking made it, beat survival hard. it started like a shit run then I was lucky with the health complements, and kept going. Almost choked with that fucker Necalli, but I made it.

Sorry, but I needed to vent. Piece of shit mode.

God, my fundamentals are shit. It's one of those hard realizations.

Yeah, mine are as well. But I've been forcing myself to play Ryu a lot more, and I find that that's actually been helping me, matched with the large amount of matches and experience I had already gained by playing Mika.

By some freak coincidence, I've always somehow ended up playing characters that are considered "gimmicky" in fighting games; "character specialist" kinda mains. So my fundamentals have always been out of whack because I've been relying too much on the unique strengths of the characters rather than strictly outplaying an opponent.

Same. I really like playing as Alex. He's quite gimmicky.

oh that's unfortunate. GGs though. Finally was able to see through some of those Laura tricks

I had a legit full second input delay, it sucked. I couldn't even confirm off a jump in and by the second set I was 4xing inputs to no avail. :-\
Weird because I've never had input delay in this game (that's what rollback is for) and the one set I played before we started was totally fine. We def have to try again another time.

Come to think of it, there was that odd delay (felt like the game froze for a minute or two) the first time we both hit start, so I wonder if that triggered the input delay for some reason.

Hmm, weird. Never encountered input delay in V. Was always why I hated playing IV online, you could feel the underwater when it was anything less than perfect.

But yeah, we will need to run it back sometime.

God, matchmaking is so shit. Takes forever to find someone/

Not sure if you're a padwarrior but I've had the same issue at times with my DS4. Some sort of bluetooth prob that gets fixed by turning the controller off and then back on again. Hope that helps!

Never get a round gate for your stick. What was I thinking? Those groves make all the difference in telling your overloaded and stressed brain the position of what you otherwise cannot feel.

I haven't jumped and crouched by accident and missed command moves since I first started learning stick. I can't wait for my octagon to arrive. I'll probably stick to training until then.

What's the properties of Bison's ex headstomp? Does it have invincibility everywhere except his head on startup? I can't seem to meaty him except with st hp or st hk

Frames 1-4 strike and projectile invincible; projectile invincible from frame 5 till hit or landing; airborne starting on frame 6; tracks opponent.

That's what Prima says about EX Headstomp.

You know, this input lag thing actually has shined some light on why my execution is the way it is. Im pretty sure the TV I play on has a decent amount of lag already too but I did notice I had to press buttons a bit earlier than in sf4 for link timings. I find myself hitting the button before a move animation even ends in order for the link to connect. Always chalked it up to the game registering links differently and my timing being so poor that the 3 frame buffer was just saving me

That is some funky data. Thanks. That explains a lot.

This describes me to a T. Characters like Jigglypuff, Anji Mito, Hsien-Ko, Alex and Amateratsu are all pretty specialized. I should just pick a top tier normie already.

I gravitate to low tiers all the time. I don't know why. Technically Honda was upper tier in Super Street Fighter 4, but I picked him in vanilla when he was just meh.

I gravitated towards Birdie and Rashid when SFV came out, so the trend continued. Though I think Birdie is pretty good and is frequently too low on tier charts.

I wonder who the first Polish Street Fighter character will be.

Knowing Capcom's commitment to political correctness, Ivan Paczki.

Every single game today and the day before has been atrocious with Rollback. Fought a Rashid in South America and a Ryu from Canada and both of them were impossible to fight and both of them had five bars.

Why is Capcom the only one who's ignoring the issue?

This game makes me feel really bad sometimes. So I finally settled for a main and I'm going through the ranks when I have the time to play some games (a little kid and all that shit). Today I hit Super Silver, but man, I can't be happy. It was against a guy half my points. I beat him 2-0, no chance to him, I got 110pts off him. I mean, if I beat 2-0 a guy of my points, I get 130. The Ranked System is so dumb. Once I hit Gold (I don't think it will take me too much), I'm not touching it again unless they overhaul it.

Got to 3990LP and now I'm getting matched with nothing but platinum players or higher. Capcom pls ;-;

I keep telling you guys that Ranked isn't worth it. Casual and Battle Lounge and playing with friends is the best. Ranked is a big emotional rollercoaster... even moreso than Survival.

I know, but the stupid me tells me a Gold rank looks cool :-/

At the moment going up doesn't feel much of a grind. I think I can hit Gold without grinding. But the moment the grind starts, the moment I quit Ranked. I mean, Ranked is just Casuals with points, plus RQs and stupid people that like playing with lag so they can have easier points.

Finally went to my first local SFV event last night and had a pretty good time. Managed to hold my own in casuals and met some cool people. Julio was there too, so that was pretty cool.

Losing in Ranked feels much more worse than Casual and Battle Lounge. It really STINGS. It's the biggest wake up call regardless if its a close game or if you got outmatched.

Losing in Casual and Battle Lounge and playing with friends doesn't really sting that much to me. Still stings when you lose but at least you get over it really fast.

Then there's the FM issue in both Ranked and Casual...

Well, I don't care too much about losing. I mean, I like winning, but I'm not salty about it. Only time I regret losing is when I'm throwing it brainlessly. But even in that case, I easily reset for the next match. Only thing that gets on me is when the fight is laggy. I hate laggy fights. In fact, mostly every fight I find that is very laggy despite five bars, I close the game.

I don't have that much time to play. When I play I want fair matches, despite the outcome. What I don't want are totally unbalanced matches in my favor or laggy festivals. Points? Like I said, I'm thinking about getting the Gold rank, but the moment it becomes a chore, the moment I'm jumping to Casuals.
