Street Fighter V |OT40002| it's been a Guile, but Urien for a wait

Can't beat Guile with Rashid. Feels impossible unless they are terrible.

If he throws fireballs, I can't roll under them, or jump over them, because he flash kicks me. So I just sit there and he throws fireballs at me.

So my entire gameplan revolves around reading a fireball and making a jump in at the correct time? Is that seriously how I'm supposed to play the matchup? A guessing game?

Someone give me some advice.

He who pursues two rabbits gets two rabbits.
Apparently, Satsuki's H Sword and EX Sword have crush counter properties. They don't seem to allow for any follow-ups, but they do insane damage.

EX Sword is 200 dmg / 200 stun normally. On counter-hit, it's 400 dmg / 350 stun.

lol

You have to play it very patiently. Inching forward between booms. If you neutral jump over the booms then he will have to wait to throw out another. It's rough but that's probably your best bet. And don't let him jump over you when you get close as he'll just be able to throw booms all day.

Where's Birdie's summer alt?
I really really hope everyone gets a summer costume.

Would love to see what Bison considers proper attire for the beach.

Unrelated but the most common Muslim first name is Mohammad so a lot of people just write M. instead of Mohammad.

The first time I saw M.Bison's name when I was a kid, I thought he was named Mohammad Bison and thought it was the coolest shit that there are Muslim fighters in this game.

No wonder. I remember abruptly dying to her after a crush counter. I figured there was some Turn Punch style damage increase to it or something.

It's when you hold a direction for a set amount of time, then press the opposite direction and a button. For example - To do Guile's sonic boom you hold (charge) back for a second, press forward and punch.

So it's <, >+P

A move where you have to hold a direction for a moment, then press the opposite direction + a button.

hold back, then forward + punch for Balrog's charge, Guile's sonic boom, Chun's fireball.
Thanks. So is anybody with that kind of move considered a "charge character"?

Anybody with only those types of moves...but it's kind of hard to define in SF5 since there are so many mixed methods.

I think Guile is the only character with all charges (including super). Balrog is all charges for his specials. Chun has a couple of charge moves. Bison is has several charge moves, and one motion special.

I don't know where the line is drawn.

Ah, good shout, I didn't think about neutral jumping rather than blocking them. Not sure why.

Still, it's pretty rough, because I don't really feel that Guile is at a big disadvantage even when I do close in on him. He does pretty significant damage with his combos and his normals are generally better than Rashid's.

Id still consider dictator, boxer, and urien charge characters. Their supers are motion because they are considered more "offensive" charge characters unlike Guile who has the option to hand back and throw booms all game if he wants to. It gives them another tool to use against the cast since they have to really get in to get anything going. I think it fits the design philosophy of the game quite well.

Don't have a lot of Rashid experience as far as playing him goes but I just think he's a bit too easy to keep out. It sounds like a tough matchup that you'd have to really work for a win.

Sako's Ibuki is so smart. Just abuses the hell out of the fact that she has the best fireball in the game. Spending vtrigger just to refill shows how much he believes in that move. And if anybody has the execution to keep her charge kunai on deck all match, it's Sako.

I don't play Alex a lot but when I did play him a bit it seemed that after a hard knockdown, being sneaky and dash up powerbomb can be really effective. You just don't want to abuse it because your opponent will catch on and start using reversals to counter it.

It is usually set up for most after a lariat (forward+HP) as it gives you a nice chunk of frame advantage and you are close enough for it to connect. Just be wary of doing it a lot as people will be able to get out of it if they are anticipating it all the time.

Walk up/dash up powerbomb can be effective if you get your opponent conditioned from using your pokes effectively. Those pokes being cr.mp, mk/cr.mk. You can also punish certain blocked moves with it as well.

Alex is all about conditioning your opponent so you can be able to get into his sequence more so than most characters IMO.

Why doesn't the player stats work yet? Seems silly after all this time that the stats still don't work. Also I can see my Ranked Matches but can I just see my percentage of my win rate plus how many Ranked wins I have? I want the 300 Ranked wins title but I don't know how far away I am from getting it.
