If you look at Online character win rates and offline , you will see big differences. Lag contributes to a lot.
It's because both games aren't very soulful. Play games like Third Strike and CvS2 again and you'll realize how garbage tier IV and V are in comparison.
I can play Third Strike and CvS2 anytime I wish and still want to continue playing V. IV can go do whatever.
I'm just tired of 4, I played it for 6 years or something and there are some aspects to that game that bothered me more and more as it went on. I think Ultra would've kept it alive for another 6 months or a year, but I think most people were just ready to move on.
People didn't exactly run back to those two games either.
Yeah, that was unbelievably stupid on their part. They have to wear that L for a long time. It's very likely a number of PC people washed their hands of this game due to that rootkit mess.

At this point cancelling Season 2 will do more harm than good.
If SFV doesnt get any traction after next years push , I think they are done for good.

You joke but I've seen a bunch of Japanese arcades playing said knock offs. Most notably Mikado in Tokyo.
Also Chaos Code is a Taiwanese game and that's quite popular in Japanese arcades too.
