I ve seen a few issues about it, but my experience last night was just fine.
Yes at point blank. 2HP is basically like Nash's, as a frame trap and combo starter.
Yeah, cache is fine. PC version.
I don't get a Crush Counter in Training or in Versus with st HK or cr HK like you're supposed to.
EDIT: What are the crush counter buttons for every character? Ryu doesn't have it either.
Should have kept doing it for a few more minutes

Ok lol there is something wrong with your game.
Ryu's buttons are St.HP, St.HK and cr.hk (Cr.hk is universal)

First one is absolutely 100% Helen/Kolin. There's no doubt in my mind about that. Others a are a bit harder to guess.

Brand new to the Street Fighter universe = guest characters = Motaro from Mortal Kombat 3.

If you've bought the nostalgic outfit, you can select it at the character select screen.

His classic costume is a premium costume and can only be accessed by purchasing it with real money. Check the in-game shop.
If you purchased the Nostalgia costume it should be right after the Battle Costume when you're selecting it.

You go to your account, put money in it from you bank and then you buy it for 4 bucks in the ingame store

I was able to use St.MK after that and follow up with a Cr.MK. it's kinda of like Nash's frame trap.
yes, I was. I tried it out in Versus and didn't work either. I'm re-installing it, so we'll see if something was wrong.

Does Akuma have a story costume? Or only premium costumes?
He has 1 story 2 dlc outfits

My first few online matches felt very strange, kind of stilted, and there would be sudden hitches of rollback once in a while, but for the most part it just felt wrong each time I landed a hit. Part of this is probably Ken's new frame timings, and maybe even their d-input implementation, but I also wonder if they made changes to the netcode.
It couldn't be related to server congestion, right, because it's all peer-to peer?
edit: i should add that I'm on PC and I didn't experience any other issues with the game running properly. Training mode and Trials felt fine.

When I tried it out last night, I had no problems with the game running.
cr. mk reaches huh? It'd be good to have that as a confirm
Urien got released at the end of september. Maybe they are aiming for that again.

I'd wager they want the characters out before Evo so that people actually USE them at CC. I'm guessing one a month, maybe a month off for some other new game mode or story thing.
Garuda would be awesome. I just want to see more gameplay variety tbh.
If they were serious about people using them at events, they'd release all of them simultaneously.
It's not just EVO, getting them all out before MvC marketing is in the final push is important.

I'm guessing this is what's most likely going to happen. Will make EVO hype, and will allow tournaments that take place towards the end of the year to be even better since there'll be greater character variety.
I like the story angle of Garuda too if they're going to add Akuma back. Garuda is the one guy Akuma can't do anything but run from. He deserves a foil like that.

Each release is a small amount of marketing that they would like to have though. So it works out better for them to drip feed the characters while still getting them out a bit earlier in the year.
