I want to play this so much but have to wait until wednesday. Stupid holidays ruining my SFV time.

He probably stood up in the middle of balancing characters and accidentally hit compile/send.

could never
All right, I've put 4$ into my wallet which is exclusively for 1 premium costume.

Now all Capcom needs to do is a make a good female character in S2 that I like and release a great premium costume for her, or release a dope costume for F.A.N.G

Whichever comes first.
Do you have the bald, fang? always thought that one was rad. Rarely see it.

I'll buy it when I eventually try him out.

and of course I beat it in a few tries after a break. I didn't have a good frame trap like with Ryu and st mp st mp to cr hk but nash's cr hp to cr hk works enough times for it to trip Bison up. Now I finally bought my first DLC char, Urien.

Now I just have to get used to this charging business lol

Nash is so baaaaad! Started playing S2 for the first time today, holy shit the character identity crisis is real. Who to pick now?

Perfectly put. He isnt completely bad , but either he needs more time for someone to figure out what to do. Or Capcom just fuked up.
And going by Xians comment with Fang S1 > S2. I'd say the latter is what probably happened.

Wow guys, passing judgement after one week.

Usually this might be the case. But this game is pretty basic , I dont know man.

The systemic changes for S2 have been great. The individual character choices are baffling. Woshige please.

Yup

He probably stood up in the middle of balancing characters and accidentally hit compile/send.

Rofl.. rekt

I should've beaten extra story mode before they nerfed Nash. Bison is literally unbeatable. ;_;

What is Nash's quickest bnb punish combo other than the target combo? st mp sometimes won't connect.

LP->LP-> LK Sonic Scythe

Cr.MP->St.MP-> Sonic Scythe/LP Tragedy Assault

Seems to be in line with the tradition. Wasn't Guile deemed bad after couple of days?

Huh?? Wasnt everyone crying about him being OP at launch?
Then they said he sucks. But most pros still said he was alright. I wouldnt take the casual gamers perspective on who sucks or not.

There is also a difference between who sucks on paper and if people can be good with a character because it fits there play style.

I think season 2 Ryu is going to surprise people. I am beginning to realize he has some great tools and some of his normals have gotten way better. I can live with the nerfs.

Guile was deemed pretty ridiculous at first, then garbage after release. Even pros were saying he was average at best despite loops. IIRC Chris G was complaining about him for a while. Then after people put time in with him, people started saying he was good.

I mean, SFV is basic, but it's still a fighting game, and metas aren't something that can be figured out in a day. People thought Bison was good, even pros had him in the higher parts of the tier. Look at how well that turned out.

That being said, I do think FANG deserves some extra research. Homeboy is just an enigma, and it happens with every fighting game with weird characters.

Wow guys, passing judgement after one week.

It's the FGC, of course. Everybody's an expert and got this shit figured out week one ;)

But yea, haven't played S2 yet and wont for a couple days. Im interested in how i will have to change my Alex game up with his move adjustments and interacting with everybody else's. Should be fun.

And I was picking up Birdie at the tail end of the year, so i dont have a super alot of muscle memory built up there, so changing up if need be should be easier I hope.

Gonna be fun at Final Round to see how all these changes intermingle and pan out.

Akuma seems like a lot of fun. Instant air EX-fireball seems like it could be a nice punish tool?

Why is the PC version stuttering like Hell after getting the Season 2 pass on PC?

I was just about to comment on this. Performance seems off at times right now.

FANG might suck but he's still a hard fight for Urien. People need to learn multiple characters, this isn't a character specialist type of game.

Urien was always a pretty bad matchup for Zangief

it wasn't that bad before but at least you could make him squirm once close, tho you were guaranteed to suffer a lot once he gets aegis

feel his close game got better

don't think it is as bad as S1 Nash MU tho

Care to elaborate? Geniounely curious about why is that so.
Some characters suffer too hard in specific matchups while excelling in others. Du for example had Mika and Guile, he used Guile vs specific characters and players.

Trying to make 1 character work vs the entire roster is trying to use a hammer when every match isn't a nail.

Alright, in the competitive and local scenes I can see that. In terms of online, it's hard to counter pick when capcom won't even let you character select.

I always play 2-3 chars in fighting games so I guess I've got that going correctly.

Online without character select is basically a training tool to see if you can solve a hard matchup or counter someone trying their answer.

Why does the game basically become unresponsive after a couple of minutes (PC version) after getting the S2 pass?

It's getting like 0fps like 75% of the time, wtf

I'm in the same boat with Akuma at the moment, just playing a pretty simple game trying to fish for his basic bnbs.

Definitely the same for me. Keep it mad basic, stick to combos I know/can remember, and try to get wins. I forget his options at any given time, to be honest. Like "Oh shit, he has a dive kick, that's right!!"

Need some help with my Kumer whats his best aa button outside of a damn dragon punch? Also does anyone know the properties on his VT dragon punch it seems to beat just about everything including ex moves. I stuffed kens ex srk point blank with it.

Having much more success with urien and bison but then again still learning kumer and his matchups.

This is what I've been trying to say but you said it far more eloquently.

Did people have counterpicks lined up in SF4? Pretty sure people did in Super, and while it matters more in those games, it's still an edge in this one.
