It's timed perfectly with a quick rise. Depending on when you hit MK in the jump, it can be in the front or a cross-up. If they don't quick rise, you can use F+HK as you land to hop over their body as they rise for a side switch and meaty jab.

I don't play Urien anymore though.

AFAIK EX Headbutt is great for getting through her fireballs.. I usually try to catch her sticking out limbs with the LK and HK versions of the shoulder tackle but that's probably not safe.

V-Reversal helps, and it keeps me away from relying on AR fuckery.

Producer's Chun put it on me a couple of weeks ago. No bueno. My Urien was overwhelmed. That said, I don't mind fighting her to be honest. Good Ryu's are the worst though.

On the flip side, I sometimes give opponents with DPs too much respect on oki; so enticed by the allure of that fat CC damage.

Yeah, I don't mind fighting Chun oddly enough. I fucking hate fighting Ryu though. A good Ryu is a brick wall and one hit is gonna be 40% of your health.

Today I learned I'm free to Laura's as Urien. I know mk is a good button against her but man it's so hard for me to get in.

Why not focus on keeping her out instead? Her defense is weak once you get momentum but it is pretty easily shifted. You have alot of strongb uttons that can effectively keep her at a good distance for Urien and your v-reversal has a lot of pushback for when she does get in.

It's funny how my most hated matchups are Bison and FANG, who are always at the bottom of tier lists. I really need to figure out a good strat with them. I know the overall game is "get in and stay in" but it doesn't seem to work out all the time.

For fang it's not as much as staying in as always make him fear the throw. Both of his good defensive options to get out of Dodge (V-reversal and Ex slide) can be grabbed, throws and Command grabs.
