According to the latest tier list coming from Japan, Fang isn't the worst character in the game or bottom four:

They can't for legal reasons. Fight Money can be used as a substitute for real money (you can buy things with either FM or cash), and since there's no way to verify the age of players, Capcom can't legally allow you to gamble cash or a currency equivalent. They should have allowed you to bet your FM on matches.
Is that a MOTHERFUCKING JoJo's reference?Boxer is roundabout tier. You just hear the long intro to Roundabout for the first seconds of the match, and then he yells "JUS TRAH AN STAP ME" and "To be continued" pops up.

The complaints about FM are some of the dumbest ones I've read. There are legit reasons to complain about in this game that people don't need to make up new ones like MMO grind or whatever.
With the last two weeks of missions, and Abigail's Demonstrations,Trials,Story, and 2x Survival (Easy, Medium) I'm able to afford his Story costume.
Don't know what people want. DLC prices are too high. Fight Money is too grindey. We're too bad to play online or beat Survival. Give us everything for free, please.
This is overly dismissive and ignores a lot of valid complaints about the FM system which is arguably poorly implemented. The method of FM accumulation is deserving of critique, and shouldn't be ignored simply because it lets you pick up a few things you like. Also, not everyone is asking for everything for free. Oddly enough, a lot of those who champion the FM system do so because they only bought the base game and don't want to spend a dime on any other content they're interested in for the life of the game, which actually doesn't end up supporting Capcom in any way financially to keep support going. That's not exactly healthy either.
To be more specific, a huge chunk of the fight money is earned through single player modes that are not fun (or impossible) for most people. Even those who play the game religiously know the online vs mode is the meat of the game, and the game is weak in terms of these single player modes a lot of FM comes from. It's unreasonable to say people don't have a point here because they are "too bad to play online or beat survival." The one thing this game does best, and what was focused on to the detriment of the other modes is actually the least rewarding in terms of FM. That's odd.
Yes, the DLC costumes are overpriced. Very much so compared to previous offerings and other similar games. This is because of the FM system. It skews the pricing. Capcom has to make money somehow if people continue to get most of what they want for free. However there are plenty of people, like myself, that want SFV to continue with content over time, but don't want to feel like they're being exploited with unreasonably high prices just so people can get all their stuff for free without spending a dime to support the developer. We had no issue buying the game upgrades and DLC in the past. We don't mind playing the game, grinding out FM over time for some stuff, don't mind paying reasonable prices for stuff when we don't have enough FM, but just want reasonable pricing when we do buy something. It shouldn't feel like those picking up cosmetic DLC are subsidizing everyone's free characters for the life of the game. There's a medium or balance there. It's wanting better balance in the system and it's not asking for anything unreasonable or saying, "Give us everything for free, please."
Have you seen the jojo mod that replaces the victory/loss music that starts when the match ends

Indeed. Noticed it a lot in a stream (forgot if it was fl0e or ISDD).
Also happened to me an hour ago on battle lounge. Ryu would dragon punch me but the corresponding sound wouldn't play.
I've been noticing the sound issues since they first showed Abigail on WSO. I thought it was an abigail problem but is it more than that? I really hope they fix it because it's rough trying to react to stuff without sound.
Hmmm, I wanted to say last night but, I wasn't sure. Anyways, I think they HAVE changed something in the way the netcode works. For the better. Ever since the update it's been super smooth for me.
Even some of my go to sync killing scenarios seem fixed (vega stage, ryu v trigger). Like, I SEE the desync happen during the cage hit but then it fixes itself. Hard to explain. Plus, I might be dead wrong lol.
Anyways, SFxT netcode for me always worked perfectly. Roll back here and there but it was always smooth. And I ALWAYS got that sound drop out thing in SFxT. So maybe, whatever the change is, it's for the better but at the cost of the sound .

Apparently it's a glitch with the loading mod. It has to be updated every time the CSS is updated.Character images and stage images are missing on my select screen. Anyone know how to fix it?

Every time people complain about fight money characters I'm just sitting here thinking "but I got all of Season 1 for "free", how is this bad?".
I'd love that option in say the upcoming MvC but nope, some party poopers who moan about everything have convinced Capcom that we'd much rather pay for our characters full stop I guess.
The PS4 is incredibly stupid. Can you separately uninstall the Story mode on PS4?
The PS4 is incredibly stupid.
As far as I know, the only way to uninstall DLC is to completely uninstall the game, then reinstall it without the DLC.
The communication between CapUS and CapJP is getting really bad. The US blog got the sports the new costumes were based on completely wrong.Ucchedavāda;244645422 said:With this patch they fixed character choices not being saved. However, as I've already pointed out, the most recent change was listed on the Japanese CFN [1], and it also turns out that so was the change to survival mode [2]. In other words, Capcom is actually communicating these changes, but somehow it doesn't make it to the English speaking audience.
The good news is that we can just go read the Japanese CFN to get the full changelogs once a patch drops, but the bad news is that the Japanese changelog for this update doesn't mention anything about the netcode.

Just noticed Abigail's lips are actually moving as if he is making car noises when he does his command run. This guy continues to be amazing.

There's nothing overpriced about it, they cost exactly as much they need to cost to recoup costs and make a profit.
You wanting "reasonable" prices is incredibly self-centered and doesn't really take into account how much it costs to even make a single character; your "reasonable" prices just means higher FM costs for everything else across the board, which might be fine for you because you can now "cheaply" buy everything you want, but it screws up everyone who tries to just FM their way into new characters.
However overpriced it may seem to you, this is the middle ground. And if you're so deadset on wanting reasonable prices, you can just wait a year and pick up the previous character pass for as low as 11.99, 6 characters, a stage, 6 costumes for 12 bucks and enough FM from these characters to buy more stages/characters.
If FANG actually did any damage, i'd even say FANG vs Abigail-kun is a lopsided matchup.
Also is anyone online right now? I wanna learn Ryu.
Sure, send me an invite at lucebuceUcchedavāda;244649895 said:I'll play you, if you don't mind a silver Ryu. I am trying to learn him as well.
How do you know this? How much are they making in profit compared to their old model? What sort of margin do they have now compared to before? Do you have numbers to back up your claim?
The fact is we don't know know for sure. There are no hard numbers to back up your argument that they are needing to charge exactly what they are. It's total speculation.
What we do know is how much costume DLC cost in comparison to their previous games. We have hard numbers on that. It is the pricing. Costumes are without a doubt more expensive than for previous games. If they are charging exactly what they need to, then it certainly stands to reason it is due to the FM system dictating the cost increase. I don't think anyone would claim the contrary.
Calling a preference on this "incredibly self-centered" as if wanting a happier medium on the model is some kind of offense or some un-noble stance or betraying the customer base is silly because it could easily apply to what you said as well. "it screws up everyone who tries to just FM their way into new characters." translates to "it screws up everyone who tries to just get the characters for free." Right? You want the characters for free and don't care if people wanting costumes have to pay 2 to 4x that they used to? You don't care that if someone earns everything for free, meaning they feel entitled to free content despite not supporting the developer financially in any way? It's a silly name-calling path to go down because it goes both ways, and it's all preference. There's no clear, righteous moral choice here. It's personal preference. There are pros and cons to different models.
My favorite thing about him is how he autotaunts after almost every single move. I know Ed did this a bit, too, but Abby just dials it to 11.

Cosmetic DLC is deliberately expensive. This is how it works in virtually every non-loot box centered game. And that's fine, it's cosmetic.
The goal of making SFV for Capcom is to make money, and if it makes money, they'll make more content and future SF titles.
Abigail is probably my favorite SFV character now, easily the most fun to use, they hit it out of the park with him IMO.
It's like he just recently discovered a thesaurus.
