I finally went in and cleared all of the volume one trials, which were mostly easier than I was anticipating. I wish I was good enough to beat story mode on the extra difficulty setting. I could use the Fight Money.

Akuma is like top 3 when it comes to the most predominantly used characters, per Capcom's statistics. I expect the number of people using him has increased even more dramatically given how well Tokido has been doing with him this year.

Thats saying something that someone playing him had to have given capcom some money at some point in order to play him at all. Not sure how many out of the total number of people still playing have bought character DLC though.

He is free, just play the damn game and you will get enough FM to buy him easily. I never spent a cent and I have all characters, two stages and one color for Ryu. There were several occasions I didn't bother to play so I could have much more FM than I currently have.

Character reveals for a game that hasn't come out yet are much more worthy of presser time than character reveals for a game that's been out for a while.
