Running ipconfig in a command prompt will show the gateway IP.Where do you find your router's gateway code-thing?
Thanks, that works. Can't you use CutePDF Writer? I haven't tried it together with Windows 8, but it does the job with older versions.
OK, so there's a gif. It shows Robocop having a nightmare.
There's also a music track that fits the gif too perfectly for it to be a coincidence.
For years, I've been trying to find that track with no luck. You are my last and best hope to watch the gif in tandem with the tune and feel complete again.
Mad world - tears for fears ?what's the name of that song that the lyrics are about places that are falling apart or something? i think it mentions seeing faces too or something like that
yeah that's it
thanks

Hey all,
I am having problems with my internet connection and have an extremely stupid question that needs clarification.
So according to my speed test, my download speed is 28.64mbs, upload speed is 5.84mbs, and my Ping is 12ms (I have no idea what that even means)
So does 28mb/s download speed mean that my download should be at 28mb/s when I download a program off of the internet? Because the speed will max at around 1mb/s. When downloading games on my PS3, it takes hours upon hours for 10+ gigs.
Also, I am lagging extremely bad when I try to play League of Legends with my friends (stuck at around ~8-15 FPS throughout the game). Could this have to do with my weird upload speed?
I am thinking about just wiping my macbook pro completely in hopes to speed it up. I constantly get the beach ball loading sign and multiple second freezes. I'm using a Macbook Pro from around 2011. I appreciate any help
8 bits = 1 byte which means that your optimal download speed will be (28.64/8) ~3.5 MB/s or megabytes per second.
Latency is the amount of time it takes for you to communicate with a server. In this case it took 12 ms (milliseconds). Less is better and it's especially important to have low latency when you're playing multiplayer games.
In general, I would consider anyone who was in the armed forces a veteran. You could use adjectives like war or combat to be more specific, but veteran isn't limited to certain activities or periods of history. In honor of Veteran's Day, I need some clarification: do you have to actually go out and fight to be considered a veteran, or do you merely have to be in the service at the time? My family was stationed in Germany at the time of the Gulf War, and my dad (USAF) never went to fight, but would he be considered a veteran?
I need a new wireless router with decent signal range and port forwarding that actually works. I currently have a D-Link DIR-655, and it has good range but port forwarding, DMZ, and other things do not work at all.
Suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Yea hes correct about 3.5 mb/s down.
Also FPS has nothing to do with internet. If your getting low FPS change video settings in the game or your PC may not be able to handle LoL.
Anyone? Bueller?
I created a shortcut to a program (on Windows 7). I would like to open that shortcut through the command prompt but it doesn't work when I type the name of the shortcut. I added the directory to the path variable.
The reason for the shortcut is that I want to open that program with the same command line options every time but I'm too lazy to type them. The command line options can be added to the property of the shortcut.
Once you are here long enough, you go back to being a junior. It's like Benjamin Button.Alright, time to start spamming posts.
Kidding, I will go with your first suggestion...
My router keeps needed to be reset after an hour or so of use.
It is a Linksys WRT54g. Version 5. I factory resetted it and firmware updated it to see if that fixes the problem and it has not. I only have 3 things connected to it wirelessly. Ps3,Moto x, laptop.
Is it dying on me or is it a temporary problem that will sort itself out in a couple of days?
Well, the PS4 does come out in a few hours... I think it's largely just general hype, but probably a bit of a boost from more specific stuff like that moron trying to fix his console.Has anyone noticed a large number of viewers on Gaf? esp Gaming side.. Currently (43361 Viewing). was 50k earlier.
When I'm bored, and on a toilet... I usually look at the numbers. Last week it was like an average of like 4k-7k... OT would have like 2k.
I looked in Gaming, and I can't see any large/huge threads going on. Even suffered some downtime.
Is the PS4's breaking down it? This was before the Twitch of the Sony Head guy too. I noticed yesterday.
1. I was inclined to say audio over DVI was impossible since DVI was, as far as I knew, video only. But doing some quick research shows that it's possible to use a DVI cable alongside with a DVI to HDMI converter to extract both audio and video. But it seems this isn't true in all cases, it's like your laptop/desktop/whatever has to support it in the first place. That's about where I got lazy with my researchGood evening..I have two computer related questions.
First is..
is there any way I can check if my laptop is able to send an audio signal over DVI?Apparently some graphic cards are able to do that. Before I spend 8 bucks on a new DVI cable I'd like to know that first.
Second is a rather odd problem.
Since a few days there seems to be a problem with some icons see pic below:
What's really odd is that when I keep hitting F5 I can see the icons like they should be displayed. The fuck is going on? Any help is appreciated!
Why do so many people misspell "turret" as "turrent"? This has always bugged me and I was reminded of it just now reading a thread here where someone spelled it that way. I've never heard turret pronounced with anything close to an "n" sound and it's not that the keys are by each other on the keyboard. Yet somehow "turrent" always shows up everywhere.
I have a PC headset that has two jacks that plug into my PC -- a mic jack and an audio jack, both 3.5mm. What do I need to convert this into a single 3.5mm jack that does both? Thanks.
Not quite looking for USB, but that item led me to what I think I'm looking for. Thanks.Maybe one of these? I used to use something like this with a Zalman mic on PS3.
Internet generation is more familiar with utturrent then gun turrets,
Does it happen with wired devices as well?
