You're a junior so you can't make threads anyway. But it should be allowed, I'm doing something similar next week or so on the gaming side. As long as you make everything perfectly clear what it's about etc.

You need to become a member before you can make your thread (300 posts and 3 months since activation). Sometimes you see members post threads for someone else but I don't know what the rules are on that. Mods in here should be able to answer that. I suppose posting it here would be an option but I don't think that's allowed either, and not very effective for that matter.

I'm nowhere no being tech savy. I have a Sony Vaios laptop. For some reason every time I sign in, it crashes. And it keeps doing it no matter how many times I restart it. The only programs I use are Firefox, Microsoft Office, Skype and that's about it. I have no idea why it's doing this and would really appreciate if someone can help me out. The last time I used it, I was using Microsoft Word, saving a fairly large document. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. If there is any solution, I'd have to do it in safe mode. Anyone know what I should do?

You probably need to start be repairing your OS install. Do you have install discs?

The problem you're experiencing sounds a lot like a software problem. Since it's when signing into your computer that it crashes, it's likely that some software has been corrupted and is messing with Windows.

Do you get a Blue Screen of Death? If so, try to catch the full error message and post it on here. If you don't get it, a repair or re-format will likely fix your problem. Otherwise we may be able to help you out without having to repair/format..

Okay my iPhone is sucking ass and is giving me a hard time trying to post the image. Just check my photobucket I just created it and the it only hAs one picture, which is the blue screen.

"A problem has been detected and windows has shutdown to prevent damage to your computer."

"An attempt was made to write to read-only memory."

"If this is the first time you've seen this error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps."

"Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any window updates you might need."

"If the problem continues, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as catching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable commenters, restart your computer, press F8 to select advance startup options and then select safe mode."

I tried other wallpapers and noticed it was doing the same thing (i.e. changing the colors a bit). It's really irritating me and I don't know how to fix it. It's not my monitor since this only affects my desktop background and the desktop's thumbnails.

Now I don't mind the color change here since it actually looks a bit better blue in my opinion, but the problem still exists and still bugs me. Any help is appreciated.

It's the other way around, the Windows Photo Viewer discolors the image. I the original image has the same color tone as your background, the color in the viewer is off. You don't seem to be the only one with that problem.

When transferring my itunes bought songs to my nexus 7 it was as simple as dragging and dropping. however it was only ones bought after a certain time when they changed there format to not be locked to itunes that worked. So anything within maybe the last couple of years that you bought should transfer just fine.

At the end of my 4s contract I will prob switch to android phone. Currently thinking of a nexus 4 to compliment my nexus 7 but will see closer to the time. Contract isnt up till near the end of the year.

Nope. I just fiddled with the color profiles just now and the wallpaper vs. image color problem remains for each profile. This is extremely strange since I can't find any information regarding wallpapers potentially being "color-corrected."

As suggested try booting in safe mode. If that works, I'd say it's fairly likely this is a driver issue. Unplug any USB devices, start your computer and see if it still crashes. If it is, you can do one of two things.

1) Start disconnecting hardware (WiFi card, Bluetooth devices, etc)
2) Perform a system repair

The first would help you to identify the problem, the second might solve it.

CMOS is underneath Windows, so no, changes there to not happen in Safe Mode. You load the CMOS interface before Windows loads. It's a key or key combination right after post occurs.

Well because my laptop works fine in safe mode obviously. But when I boot it up regularly with windows, as soon as everything loads, my laptop just shits and the blue screen pops up.

Okay, so it's software. If it works fine in Safe Mode you need to repair your OS. Windows knows how to do that.

Put in your Windows cd and boot from that. You'll get the option to repair your installation.

Well, I haven't been a tech since the early days of XP, but back then you booted from Windows media and told it to repair the install. This means, unless your boot order already places CD above system drive, that you need to go into CMOS (at post, before Windows starts loading) and change the boot order. The CMOS interface is pretty old school these days.

Depending on *exact* timings, it may turn out that Sea World's new Antarctica attraction and Universal's new Transformers attraction are soft opening during the period we're there, but don't officially open until a few weeks after we leave. I'd love to be able to ride them while possible, so I was hoping to catch them while they're going through a soft opening period which have been rumoured - and I must stress only rumoured - to start sometime in May. I've been aware of soft opens for a while, but never actually managed to get into one, and I'm really not quite sure what you actually look for, if the ride just looks 'open', if they advertise 'sneak previews', or, well, what.
