It's funny because their relationship is supposed to have gone somewhere here (
OMG THEY EMBRACED
), but it still feels like nothing of importance has been accomplished. Romance plots like this rely almost entirely on the chemistry between the main two --and, quite frankly, Tsubaki and Urabe make for an incredibly dull couple once the novelty of drool-swapping wears off.
The saliva-blob-o-meter only measures my enjoyment of a show. Whether I recommend it to anyone has to do more with how ashamed of myself I am of even mentioning anime in real life scenarios.
Black coat, bitches all around, hyper capable, fate of the world in his hands. Also somewhat anti social except for those he happens to be mushy about. SAO pokes fun at the fact as well, but lampshading never actually excuses the act.
I kinda want to mention his descent into drunken hoboness but Season Two canonically doesn't exist so I shan't.
I've noticed something quite remarkable from the last couple of pages. There's moegaf, yurigaf, blgaf, bonesgaf, precuregaf, but where's solgaf and romgaf? And no, Hyouka does not count.
What I'm saying is more people should watch Toradora!
I'm both, if I had to put myself into a faction. Besides, why doesn't Hyouka count?

Dudu the Floaty
This was fabulous. As much as I liked Buta for its childlike sense of adventure, Dudu is great because of its childlike sense of wonder. If they fleshed out the story, this could have been easily been like a classic Disney movie about a girl having an underwater adventure. I mean, you've got the awesome main character, the very easy metaplot with father-daughter bonding, and this world that you could build on with lots of scenery porn.
It's definitely great to finish your show leaving the audience wanting more, but man... I wanted more. lol
In my dream world, Buta would get turned into a 50 episode shounen series and Dudu would be a 90 minute animated film. All would be good in the world.
Oh, and wonzo - is it me, or did the guy who played Dudu sound like Panda-kun?

The footage at the start of the trailer has nothing to do with Akito itself. It's just a recap of Code Geass before introducing the next entry in the series.

Well, after that adventure, it's time to go back to the grind.
Haibane Renmei 2
... in which nothing happens.
The opening was probably the most interesting part, because it implied some connection between the dreams and reality. That connection (at least, as it's presented there) is probably strictly metaphorical, though.
This episode was mostly dedicated to telling Rakka and the viewer about how the town works, and how the Haibane live. There are all these odd and rather arbitrary rules set up, but I guess that's just how things are. I like that guy in the thrift shop.
I didn't know they made sailor uniform dresses. Classy.
Things are progressing pretty slowly. Even with all the dialogue, I feel like the only characters with any depth so far are Rakka and Reki. The other Haibane in the main cast are basically archetypes.
I'm glad I'm watching this a week at a time, because I don't think two episodes in succession would be able to hold my attention all the way through. Like this, it's just enough.
I'd either like something to actually happen, or I'd like to get to know the other characters better.
Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita 3
I think a lot of the complaints about the subject matter are overblown. The first two episodes might be more interesting, but this exploration of the return of manga subculture is pretty much in line with the tone of the previous episodes, and it doesn't get referential enough to be just otaku-pandering.
Bandai's music label Lantis began streaming a 15-second television commercial of the animated music video for the single "Wonderful Rush" by the idol group μ's on Saturday. The group's fifth single will ship on September 5 and include a DVD featuring the music video, one of nine random idol cards, and vocal drama tracks for 2,000 yen (about US$26).
