Oh, we even saw Ritsu's brother for a moment there.
The only classmates who ever talked were Ui and Jun though, and they were Azunyan's classmates. I don't recall Yui, Mugi, Ritsu, and Mio's classmates ever having any real lines like they did in the movie.

K-ON! The Movie

Well, if you liked the two series, this is pretty much exactly what you were looking for. The animation is as usual incredibly beautiful with the added polish of a film budget. That hasn't changed at all.
What was different about the movie was this is the first time K-ON! has had a full 5.1 mix, and it is glorious. The sound of the performances fills the entire soundstage and having surround channels adds both realistic depth and width to the sound field. If you have a full 5.1+ speaker setup you will really enjoy the performances in the movie. Whoever was in charge of the sound design definitely knows how musical performances sound live, because the movie just nails it. It was really something amazing to hear, I've heard real professionally produced concert DVD/BDs mixed more poorly than this film was during the performance sequences.
If this is really the end of the K-ON animated franchise they certainly gave it the sendoff it deserved. Oh, and Dat ED. I love Yoko Hikasa's voice.
