Femmeworth, have you seen Michiko & Hatchin? If I die today I take it to the grave it's among the best animated shows I've ever seen.

As I have at least one more day of recovery I was hoping to find something to watch before starting season 2 of Legend of the Galactic Heroes, but none of this season's shows intrigue me. I may force myself to continue Tsuritama. Or maybe I'll just jump into season 2.

Of course!

Pretty much.

Cursory Google search says that they did a Kannagi book as their first one. Did they work on that too?

Yep; Akai and Matsuo are regular animators in A1 productions. Akai was the character designer and chief animation director of Sora no Woto, even!

you didnt have to change it
now i feel bad

Nah, it's okay. It kind of makes more sense to have Ame and Yuki anyway since I'm celebrating the release of their movie.

Consensus never implies anything other than a bunch of humans agreed about something.

I never like "majority makes right" type arguments.

"I know I saw a UFO! Millions of people can't be wrong can they?!" Yes. Yes they can.
Massive amounts of people get tricked all the time on different things.

So, you're advocating for the embrace of the dirty 3D world, rather than sharing each other's mutual love for the perfection that is moe?

And you're shaking your head at us in an anime thread?!

We should do it again some time. :D

Anytime! Just be sure to bring even more dresses next time! And a working HDD so you can dupe all that hentai that you couldn't get D:

Did you like the Oshii stuff you watched because you can relate to the characters and their blank expressions :(
I need to get me a basset hound.

I watched like the two first episodes when it aired, it's on my backlog.
Huh. The only shows I remember you ever mentioning positively were Hachikuro, Puranetesu, and NGE.
Well, I really liked those in the past. I'm more critical these days, so they might not hold up as well as I remember.

Pretty much.
I9 visited for a week last year. Basically we watched animu, played games, and put I9 in dresses so I could take photos of how cute it was. We also looked at hentai. And my wife said "WHATAREYOUDOING!?"
I say we put cosmic, dtl, and envelope in a room for a month and see what happens!

I do find it funny that one of the guys on the show has a girlfriend "studying abroad" for some reason. It's like, of course he does. lol

I don't know if it's Japan or the subbers having some fun. :p

Nah brah, you should watch Angel's Egg. No basset hounds required!
Actually, I already watched it. >_>

Edit: It was interesting, not as weird as I expected. I've decided that the best way to describe it is as a painting in motion, since it doesn't function as a movie too well. That's not just because of the minimalistic dialogue.

You are gonna kiss me and like it!

Exposition is boring. Action is pretty cool.

They also gave us a wikipedia lesson on another Greek god.

I guess this is the world where everything is told by kissing. Now where's the guy partner?

Honestly ever since Fate/Zero S2 ended I've found it really hard to get back into anime. I've tried lots of shows (and some really terrible live action) but nothing scratched that itch from the depression that comes from finishing up the one of the best series ever.

But this show finally did it.

N-T-R! N-T-R! N-T-R!

For such a silly premise the show is quite serious and quite seriously good. It's a really interesting deviation from the standard love triangle formula and the show is actually taking a mature approach to the genre which I can't recall happening in any other show I've watched recently and yet it still manages to be humorous as well. Definitely picked the right show to watch first from this season.

Bandaids are moe too.

It's going full retard. Nobody in this show is making any sense anymore.

It's totally ridiculous and I can't look away.

It's crazy how wrapped up I get in this show. The episode felt like five minutes.

I wonder how different I'd view the show if I sympathized with Shimao more. As it stands I absolutely love the chemistry between adult Oreki and Rokka, and I just find Shimao a bit of a whiny baby at the moment. He was especially annoying in this episode but granted it's understandable given the situation. The show does a really good job at making each character easy to sympathize with and the drama unfolds in a nice and rather realistic manner (despite the uh... whole situation).

Really looking forward to more of the show.

So I Can't H 03

Boobs. Boobs everywhere. There was some fight, but it was basically boobs.

Go go childhood friend that basically looks hopeless.

Details just got announced for Robotics;Notes at the event /XX/ mentioned.

- 2-cour series confirmed
- Director: Kazuya Nomura (Sengoku Basara S2, movie)
- Series Composition: Jukki Hanada (Steins;Gate)

So, I Can't H 3
The main character in this has become unbearable. Combine the most annoying aspects of a stereotypical pervert character with a tendency to go on Touma style eye-gougingly bad speeches and I can't watch this shit anymore. The fights aren't even worth watching because every single one follows the same formula.

Sounds great. Do I have to watched Chaos;Notes or Steins;Gate to fully get this though?

This is the last episode where I bother with the real-world shit. I lasted three episodes watching the whole thing--13~15--and I don't know how some of you guys have watched +10 episodes of it. This is fucking horrible.

Rozen Maiden Traumend end

Now that's more like it. Characters dropping like flies and a good solid minute or 2 of unrestrained ability fighting. Seriously, that little skirmish between Shinku and
Bara-Suisho
at the end was the best thing to come out of this series.

Of course since this is an original ending of an adaptation whose source material turned into a mess, there were quite a few loose ends and inconsistencies.
So are Hina-Ichigo and Souseiseki getting their souls back at some point, or are they just going to be kept as dolls from now on? The dialogue made it seem like it could be either.

Overall, this season was better than the first, but not by much. Jun is A LOT better than his first season incarnation, but he kind of just evolved from a whiny kid to a character without any actual traits. He's just there for most of the season.

And of course they still spent a lot of time just screwing around rather than actually advancing the overarching plot or Alice Game. In fact, the Alice Game is probably one of the biggest bits of wasted potential I have seen in an anime. It's like a lower scale Gash Bell or something, but 90% of the time, it just feels like an abandoned plot point that would have been used for a drastically different series. I mean who thinks a premise focused around a "tournament" that people don't participate in is a good idea? Maybe the manga is different, but I don't really have any desire to find out.

That being said, it does have its moments. Just like the first season, the rare fights were good, and I didn't hate the slice of life episodes. Not something I'll really remember though come this time next week. A decidedly average show.
