You guys have no idea how not having AO makes me immensely sad.

The Motion Picture and Television Engineering Society of Japan announced the winners for the 65th MPTE Awards earlier today. Black Rock Shooter actually won the prize for technical achievement in animation in the televison category, with Wandering Son taking an honorable mention for the same. Ei Aoki was happy enough with the latter that he tweeted his gratitude and congratulated the staff of the series for all their work.

How about some fanart to cheer you up?

Im more distressed over a lack of Koi to senkyo to chocolate for two weeks, at least theres two new episodes on the day it comes back.

Those 2 eps completely took me by surprise as the Quality just went up suddenly
The last part of ep8, was made with ANIMATION..i repeat , ANIMATION
i can' t believe it.
This was clearly a well paced EP overall and my interest in this show rose a bit .
And then came EP9
There are too many moments of WTF i could have screencapped but i don't want to spoil the rest ..
Trully this show is mediocre but has very nice highlights...

You mean you don't like plopping down on the couch for seventeen hours of beach volleyball and water polo every day for two weeks?
You mean you don't like plopping down on the couch for seventeen hours of beach volleyball and water polo every day for two weeks?
But every once in a while, NBC slips up and shows something like rowing or something else not volleyball or water polo.
I love it. No one in their right mind would watch these sports if they were on regularly but every four years they become the most fascinating sports in the world for 15 mins.
Don't get me wrong! I find the Olympics hugely entertaining, I was making more of a dig at NBC's obsession with showing a handful of sports at the expense of all others.I'm also too lazy to stream instead of watch television
SAO confirmed for indie game?"It's not a bug..."
"It's a feature."
Sengoku Collection 18
This was actually a really well done episode so instead of making some throwaway snarky comment like I usually do about this stupid show, I'm just gonna post some pics of the fantastic background art.

SAO confirmed for indie game?
There's so much bullshit in this show. You mean to tell me someone created a VR interface that completely disables your real body? That's just asking for trouble. If the game takes hella long to beat and nobody in the outside world can take the visor off, won't some of these people possibly die of thirst and starvation because they're vegetables now?
Is this technology brand new or something? Is the Japanese equivalent of the FTC retarded? How could that possibly get out into the public market?
LOLREALISM aside, I like the premise. I think I'll keep watching.
Oh god
I haven't seen you post in here before, so welcome.Terra e... | 1 - 11
at the beginning it was pretty meh but now things are looking pretty interesting. also I love the time skip even if they don't say when they are gonna do it.
Sword Art Online is actually a sequel to Atlas Shrugged.
You get... urges around me, don't you? Dirty, perverse, floofy urges? You dirty man.
Narag, I don't know how to broach this to you but, your choices of anime to watch have been a little worrying, as of late. Are you okay?Manyuu Hikenchou 2

My pleasure!Well, now that I've seen the background art I don't need to watch the episode. Thanks for that!
[Gendered language insult] you [gendered language insult], [gendered language insult]!
Thank you! He's already received it, so no problems there. There's no problem shipping TO Japan, but FROM Japan seems to be a different story (my sister is there and coming back to the US later this month, she's bringing it back with her). I love the Diva games, I actually like them more than Project Mirai in terms of gameplay (though I prefer the Nendoroid aesthetic). I like learning the patterns and the music.
The Project Diva games are totally worth it, esp. since the PSP is region-free.
It plays out like Neo vs Agent Smith while pretending to be serious drama.
Hmmmm.... the official PR Twitter account for the Persona 3 movie seems to be implying in a post teasing more news in future that the project might consist of more than a single movie. I wonder if they're going to do something like Kara no Kyoukai...

Fucking filth. All ignored. Just look at this rogue's gallery of depravity. Well, you're all exposed now. EXPOSED!
I have pretty low hopes for her to be honest. Theres been no memorable good female antagonist in the genre. Seems to be pretty awful of a character, doesnt look like she has any potential to be a compelling antagonist and based on her elemental alignment, it will be great to see Soma destroy her if they go in that route? Only actually decent female character in Saint Seiya Omega has been Athena, actually courageous and does something worth mentioning exceeding expectations. If Yuna would only increase her enemy defeated count to being at Koga's level then maybe she can be better. Sure you may say Soma has not has as many wins as Kouga, but at least he has been there from the start supporting Kouga through hard trials and lending friendship, while Yuna has only been tending to Athena extensively, ignoring Souma and Kouga. I think that that does make him even more a cool and better designed character even if his fighting skills arent at Kouga level.
Inori would have lost just about everything she had going for her. Sure as Egoist the song is nice, but otherwise not being an asset for Shu would make her really way less appealing and just typical anime female character. She would be on Ayase's level, characters that are just there to increase the numbers in the plot but really provide no other benefit than just kind of nudging Shu forward but being unsuccessful. Part of the good thing with Inori as she was was, as an essential asset for him, she was able to, in his most down moments give him some hope to go on and serve as inspiration, knowing that he could utilize her when he needed the support.
Ayase was alright as a Endlave pilot and during that one scene with Shubut otherwise pretty much not really a character worth mentioning as a whole, actually kind of anger inducing at several points due to her actions, however was definitely a vital access in rounding out this good anime.when she had legs
I have trouble thinking of the qualities that would make an actually likeable female character in a context not with a male protagonist or a context of not taking looks into account.
I like that kind of down depressed attitude for main characters though. It makes them creative, realistic, and kind of someone to relate to. I imagine people have had or would have those sorts of feelings toward things. It a great setup for extensive character development and growth, and it always leads to scenes where this sort of unenthusiastic negative character just rises to the occasion and shocks everyone. Isnt that good? Unlike the characters I mentioned, Shou actually has power and actually does stuff to make him not be a worthless deadweight.

I don't see how Hyouka can top the festival arc, but that art looks good! I like how Satoshi is turned away from the others - really interested to see where his character arc will go.
Referring to another thread where somebody was all LOL U PEOPLE HAVE ANIME AVATARZ.What is this list and why am I on it?
Sounds as bad as CTV where they only keep focusing on showing Canadian athletes getting owned in most of the competitions.

So the 2 years of semen is the equivalent of the John Galt monologue?

I don't mind doors that much because it's not like anime has ever been known for great door animation.
So i can assume the writer of sword art online is batshit insane?

Was that the Atelier topic people were mentioning? I just gave it a brief look.
Do people really do this though? Put someone on ignore simply because of an aesthetic choice to the art style in their avatar?
Well, to me, I guess I don't want to talk to them either if they're going to be that silly and shallow minded about it...
How long until AnimeGAF threads are forcibly renamed "Anime discussion goes here and here ONLY" like the 9/11 truther quarantine thread?
