Suddenly remembering that conversation with Duckroll the other day about communities rolling with memes.

I surrender. We might as well start using :beater.

another great episode, it had everything. Comedy, beautiful scenes, a complete change of location, great pacing, some back story and even tension near the end. Great stuff, throughly enjoyable. Next episode sounds curious, I hope it's nothing serious, more fun stuff please. This is a really great Summer show so far, fun and relaxing. I want to have pizza on beach now :(

On a side note, I'm impressed how many different sets of cloths each of the characters wear just in a single episode, a lot of work.

Kirbyguy made up his own in the last couple of pages. I mentioned that his name always reminded me of that bizarre foodporn conversation instead.

My initial intent was more on characters getting thrown under a bus, on top of me constantly using to the point that it was a phrase of my everyday life.

The panty shot one that is used right now was coined by Regulus Tera because I was posting multiple screenshots of underskirts while watching Sailor Moon.

This is going to sound harsher than I mean it but Trigger didn't fully utilize the Kickstarter machine. There wasn't enough stretch goals that were not only reasonable in regards to getting there funding-wise but also tempting. Even something like a dub would have had a boost. They also didn't plan stuff out well once they realized how much money they were getting to keep the momentum going. Then there is the transparency issues. They somewhat addressed it but they didn't really give a clear breakdown of where the money is going.

The Kickstarter was a success but it was also a missed opportunity.

I don't think anything you said was harsh but rather spot on. The fact that Kickstarter (and things like it ) are still a new/unknown entity (from my understanding) in Japan hurt things because they didn't know how best to use it. Trigger only learned about Kickstarter because English-language fans were spamming them about it and Trigger was only able to do it because they have someone(s) who works there that is fluent in English. A dub would have been a great stretch goal but the whines of the sub-elitists probably killed any chance of that :(

Shocking development: Tomoko fails at things. And yes, that was definitely a Haruhi reference.

Normally I'm on Tomoko's side, but I have to admit I felt sorry for her brother in this episode. Those purikura stickers everywhere were frankly terrifying.

That's pretty much a hallmark of any KyoAni show at this point, but I agree, it's those sort of touches that really show their craft.

Best beach camping trip in awhile and numerous pleasing scenes, the lead up was entertaining and hilarious and then most of the stuff going on was quite good. Rin's haru detector is pretty amazing
how fitting and then for Rin development, it was good that they did manage to get him to show some feelings of concern for everyone overall and not just Haru. Worrying over Makoto's past with the ocean (which seemed well done how they kept having brief mentions of something in his past as it went on and on, seems pretty sad though but at least he has no trauma, assuming nothing bad happens to Rei. And poor Rei, part wishes its just a bad dream sequence. other hopes that somehow Rin jumps in on the scene to save him and Makoto.

Nagisa has best outfits his shirt and accessories at the start and then the night scene, and shorts, Rei's shorts design also.

Why would they dub the second one when the first one's being released without one?

Always been wondering. Do gays have rights in Japan?
it's called wikipedia

Today I was playing Pikmin and the entire group of Pikmin died. If only I had told them I had played Pikmin 1, they'd still be alive.

I feel so :beater.

This literally happened to me today as well. The worst part was that they were killed because the boss seperated me from them.... and I initiated the fight when the day was counting down....

Haha, I made that entire scenario up. Doesn't that make you feel even more :beater?

But is it the best Yayoi?

Unlikely, but I haven't watched Smile Precure just yet, and I'm not an Idolmaster person, so I guess she can be my best Yayoi for the moment by virtue of lack of competition.

(Ah, who am I kidding, Precure Yayoi already beats her purely from GIFs and images.)

Sailor Moon SEXY/Spinning 101

Based on whose the target of the week is, that means plot will happen! And guess who it is?

It's Usagi and her White Panties, and it's her birthday no less. Talk about shitty ordeal.

Anyway, the enemy figured out who Usagi really is, so clearly, the Outers know as well, even if they don't comment on it. However, Usagi is so pure
that she holds the talismin in her heart crystal.

Fucking cliffhanger gooo

Other commentary: It's clear why Pure Heart Crystals exist in S. There's also a reason why Real Lesbians and Garden Variety porn has shown up. The S really signifies as "Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon SDBurton"

I really, really don't think we needed
drama like that. It's hard to make it not contrived when the tone of the show has been so light-hearted so far. Especially when you have a storm happening out of nowhere. I would have preferred if it only stayed as a backstory for Makoto.

Besides that, boy the episode was pretty rough. Two storyboarders, one assistant ED and two assistant AD, plus quite a bit of 'quality' faces and a bit lacking in the movement department. Coming right after Horiguchi's episode it was really noticeable as well.

Guess I'll just have to wait and see how the thing develops, but the character interactions still feel somewhat fragmented. This episode actually did a rather nice job of forming a sort of ensemble cast, but I still think the whole Rin situation could be handled better.

Sailor Moon Sexy/Spinning 102

I get the feeling they're lying about Usagi's heart not being a talismin, but they never mentioned a farce afterwards so who knows.

Anyway, Kaorinite is now dead, and we're up to see the professor's other sexy assistant.

We had a brief moment of the Outers knowing who Sailor moon is, but the fake out plan set up by Luna and Minako pushed back the plot. We have hints that they know whose who, but meh.

Shingeki no Kyojin 17

As everyone has already said, a pretty good episode. Yay for horses and open fields and intelligent titans and action.

Saint Seiya Omega Episode 67 – Subaru's Terrifying Cosmo! Eden's Task!
joIXTuO.gif

Alright episode finally delivering on some good Subaru
though it was just the final moment and only held the pallasite in place, though Eden gave the best finishing blow.
Seiya juggling those cosmo balls was an fun and fast moment, so long.

The animator of that last episode of Omega seemed to love shouldepads. Everyone got absolutely huge shoulderpads for some reason.
