Tonight, as tattooed, pierced waitresses carrying beer and fried chicken weave between tables, Goldenboy (the Don King of adult anime) is leading an excited dialogue about Boku no Pico, an animated kiddie-porn DVD. Onstage with him is the film’s haute-dork production team, including a man in aviators smoking a pipe (the writer), a young woman dressed like a French nurse (Pico’s voice), and a goblin-like guy in a bright red cap, a single suspender, and a gold front tooth (the director). Two men with shaved legs, frilly blouses, and giant cartoon masks of the protagonists’ faces periodically wave to the crowd.

According to the Famitsu interview with the creators, Kamikaze Douga will be handling the animation for the Short Peace game tie-in Ranko Tsukigime's Longest Day. Pretty cool. CG forever! Etc.

Kamikaze Douga's twitter account linked a couple of days ago to another (probably similar) interview with Mr. Suda (http://twitter.com/kamikazedouga/status/358511450261700609). Does it have different details about that collaboration? I'm not sure...

Is Bushiroad the big mega mix franchise that trumpeted the fact that the Trinity Blood author was going to write the screenplays, only for him to die very shortly afterwards?

It wasn't just him. Gainax was also involved, Kou Yoshinari was going to do the character designs, Anno was going to be in charge of some animation or something. Then it all fell apart. But now it's BACK!

And Mr. Yamaga was going to direct it (OVA or TV series, it wasn't clear)! At the time Otaprince commented that the sudden death of Sunao Yoshida (R.I.P.) was only going to delay the project for a year (from a 2005 to 2006 release), but all later fell apart due to different and previously scheduled compromises.

This show is going to be a ride either way. I also wish Otsuka had more influence on the project as I don't think I like unfiltered Imaishi.

The good news is that everybody seems to be trying their hardest to make this a success, and I don't mean commercially. It's inspiring when you can see the animators putting their heart and soul into something.

Okay, so what happened was that in 2003, there was this big crossmedia project announced at Tokyo Anime Fair called BushiRoad. Anime/manga/music thing, with a bunch of big names involved. It never happened. The entire thing fell apart. The producer who was spearheading it soldiered on, working on tie-in stuff for the anime which never existed, etc, and then eventually founded a company called BushiRoad to do more crossmedia businesses - mainly in card games using anime licenses and stuff. Now ten years after BushiRoad was first announced, it seems the anime will finally be made.

Well, yeah... the company BUSHIROAD was, lets say, a spin-off from BROCCOLI, for which one of the business it operates is the manufacturing and sale of trading card games (http://www.broccoli.co.jp/tcg_index/). Once they had the structure of the BUSHIROAD company formed but the project it was destined to fulfill wasn't ready to be made (the aforementioned 'Bushiroad' or 'Bushilord' multimedia project it was named after), was decided to take advantage of that already established structure to finance other (usually animated) works with it as a production company and benefit from the creation of merchandising (like those TCG or others) related to them.

This is some grade A heavy plot. All the players are here, including Scar Akai by the looks of it. There's so many questions I have— especially regarding Sera, Amuro, and Subaru. It's been hinted at that they're working together, but was that Vermouth with Subaru? Has she gone full rogue from the BO? But then why is she feeding information back to Gin and Vodka? Perhaps Subaru truly is Bourbon and he just works for Vermouth in the same way Vodka does for Gin and in that sense they're both backhandedly helping Conan and Ai.

Gah, I'm going back and rewatching this arc's episodes.

Couldn't be more ready for next week.

Joe's all about the Bird Missile again and tries to fire it by force. The other Gatchaman wrestle him down and he starts yelling at Ken. Ken's reply: That button isn't for you to press. ... it's for her! Cut to the dead man's daugther watching this all unfold. What's worse is she doesn't really want to fire this deadly weapon and Ken forces her to murder the people that murdered her father.

I think this tied into Ken's own father issues which have been apparent the past two episode.

wtf, i say. I just expected big monsters being taken down by superheroes. Speaking of which, looks this monster was the basis for the second OVA ep's monster.

I think my reason for watching this show has shifted from the action to seeing Hajime's hyper antics.

Thats always the reason to watch it. Hajime is a bundle of happy energy. I can relate.

YO WHAT THE FUCK?! First they took away "Leave It To Kero", and now they get rid of motherfucking "Catch You Catch Me"? Who in the hell made this dumbfuck bullshit decision?! Who the hell says Catch You Catch Me isn't good enough, we need a new OP? It's one of the best OP songs ever. Nobody's tired of it except stupid loser jerk fuckfaces. And now it's gone. I don't even know if I want to watch this show anymore I'm so damn disappointed.

Anyway, actual episode was good, with Mizuki still being mysterious, Yukito still being dreamy, and Sakura still being adorable. And the ending with Shaoran promising to help her look for the watch Yukito gave her (which looked like it had something resembling Sakura's cardcaptor key on it) was touching. Watching this alongside the Mets being the Mets made that slightly more bearable.

Theyre all good openings. I know what you mean about Catch You Catch Me because its one of the most miraculous things in the universe, but give the others a shot!

Can anyone help me remember the name of an anime? It was supposedly made by the same people that did Spice and Wolf, and it was about this hero who set out to slay the demon princess except the demon princess wound up being super good at economics and shit and came back to the human world to help them not suck economically, I think?

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha. Its not as good as SApice and Wolf but demon king is adorable and has nice economics.

Fate/Zero English Dub 2-14

Wow. Amazing stuff. It's hard to overlook the visual quality of this show still. Having said that the dub script is basically the same for a lot of things. Having said that there are some stuff that are changed and it's for the better. Some voicework is absolutely superb. Kariya and Tokiomi's is is outstanding. However, there are some that are absolute shit. Archer is the notable standout for being horrible. Sure he sounds like a pretentious dirtbag but something about it is just off. Whatever. lol.

Incidentally I think my brother may have discovered my Sailor Moon manga last night. Was putting volume 1, which I was rereading back in the box for the first box set, and then he came into the room. I tried to hide it and he didn't say anything about it, we were just talking about the baseball game on TV, but I can't be sure. I've since moved it to a new location just in case.

Still, I'd rather him discover something like that than something like your sister found (though I don't have stuff like that, so that's not an issue). So...yeah, I hope this doesn't become a larger issue.

REally, the best way to prevent this is to just display everything. Bear out your shame (or non-shame) in full view in your room and very few people will actually care much.

Sailor Moon 46 END

EVERYONE DIES and then we had a reset button from the beginning of the series. This wasn't a thing in Precure ;-; It's too bitter sweet, Rei never even kissed Shrine Boy, Ami didn't do the dew with that Youma guy.

Well there we go, the first season of Sailor Moon in about 12-ish days. Well that was a sexier than Cartoon Network made you believe show. A time where Toei didn't do too much actual fighting animation for anything not called Dragonball Z, we had Sailor Scouts and DORAMA and asscheeks.

Usagi, frankly, she was annoying, and yet grew on me because her antics were rather hilarious, Rei is Rei, Ami is Ami, Mako is pretty (tall) Makino was... not entirely what I expected. Why so bittersweet, why. Whhhhy. Why, it's not faaair, DAMMIT CHILDRENS SHOWS, GOING ABOVE MY EXPECTATIONS! WHY! Dammit, this is painful.

Good first season despite this.

It really was a great inaugural season. For some reason Im having trouble getting into season 2.
