I'll stick with my argument that inferno cop is just anime robot chicken humor. Like how ridiculous can we get in each short episode.

I am scared that they start to try too hard and then all will go to shit.

Whenever sequels try too hard or they become self aware they are never as good. Like Birdemic 2. It could never be as good as the first because the guy knew it's a joke of a film so he made the second with that tone in mind. It doesn't have the irony to it.

Inferno Cop with quality animation? Blasphemy.
It could work if it isn't the norm. Like some scene that is randomly beautiful animated. A bit like panty and stocking and their sudden art change during the transformation or some episodes.

Nekomonogatari (Kuro) is the final part of the 1st season, and Nekomonogatari (Shiro) the first part of the 2nd season, yes.
Extremely trivial, but Nekomonogatari (Kuro) aired on TV, so it's not an OVA.
