Man since Akame ga Kill got animated they really should animate, Yamada and the Seven Witches. I mean it's getting a OVA so maybe it will get animated. And if it does I'll be so happy.

Yukihama chapter was intresting and the "rival" chapter were a nice change of pace.
Book 9 & 10 were nicely written IMO, complete with the forshadowing and the holy shit moments.
It's just a shame that ..
This is a good recipe for us , i'm just hoping this one sells .

Yeah for Fate/Zero you're going to have to get through that exposition that put off a lot of people I know off, but it's worth it.

I heard the live action of Yamada and the Seven Witches was good. But I feel the series fits better as a anime. And how long will that wait be.
I'll be writing up my review for The Sunlit Garden 2-parter soon but given some of the things in it, along with my experience with Penguindrum, I can already see this show is going to take me places....

You know as much crap as we give death shot in sao2 for having such a hilarious design and name we have to remember this is supposed to be an mmo. Most people want to make the coolest looking guy even if it ends up being hilariously not so. The fact he isn't called xXxNinjaDeathKiller657xXx is a blessing in disguise.

Yes. With no more executive meddling to force Akamtsu to make a harem, it's straight up shounen from the start with slightly more EDGE than Negima.

Personally, I'm not too bothered by DEATH GUN. We've all had our shitty internet handles when we were younger and this is just one variation of them.
As long as the show has ample Shinon in it I will be content.
This means of course they will show her for a minute every 5 episodes or something and ignite a rage.

Still got to watch Barakamon and TiT looks interesting. P4GA just because I love persona and possibly the mecha anime.

it's about some big monsters who try to kill humanity and humanity that fights back with spiderman gear. It tries to be thrilling (action!, surprises!, traitors!, dramatic!, mysteries!, exclamation points!) but not exactly "deep".

So, this is a project from Kitema Circus (Code:Breaker) and Masaki Tachibana the director of Tokyo Magnitue 8.0. I didn't really know anything about the show going in except that it looked like it had nice art and the OP was pretty great. Having practically no expectations going in I'm happy to report that this was one of the stronger first episodes I've seen in a while.
For those who aren't aware, the premise of this series is that a master calligrapher moves from Tokyo to some little island to help him hone his craft and free his creative spirit. This episode just explains a little bit about his past and his first day in his new home.
It's a pretty simple stuff, from a writing perspective and it features the usual clichés like friendly villagers, the artist struggling with their own creativity, viewing the world through the eyes of the child, and some fairly on-the-nose dialogue.
This premise isn't exactly compelling on it's own but the director has managed to make a fun opening episode that's carried by some strong comic timing, light hearted character interactions and some really great nice character animation which they manage to keep up all episode. Oh, and the background art looks pretty great too.
Perhaps the most surprising thing about this initial episode, besides how great the animation is, would be that the main character is kind of a dick throughout the episode even when he knows that he's wrong and even when the target of his ire is a child.
I'm not entirely sure how this will hold my interest over the coming weeks as there doesn't seem to be a whole lot to this premise but we'll have to see. At the moment it's the best thing I've seen this season.
