I've seen the first two episodes dubbed without edits and a bunch of random episodes via the NA edited broadcast. While it has cute moments I don't remember it being all that cute... of course i think that was the point of the edited version so I will have to continue watching the unedited version lol.

All these comparisons to Berserk just show how unimaginative and derivative Japanese "dark fantasy" games based on medieval settings really are!

Drgaon dogma is not just some tie-in ..entire parts of the game are straight from berserk manga anime.
The witch in the wood house as the same exterior as in berserk and the main witch ( not the grand daughter ) suffers the same fate, All the Main characters are makable ( many made Guts or Griffith but shierke is available too ).
Entire Scenarios/quests are highly similar

There is no doubt that the team of dragon dogma are berserk fans..

Still mostly usual fare although the last episode stood out from memory in that Zenigata willingly joined up with a fairly shady mob boss despite him being a police officer. The direction for the episode was all over the place but I thought it was an interesting point about Zenigata compared to his usual bumbling buffoonery.

For that new Trigger anime/adaptation thing, if I never looked it up, I wouldn't have guessed it was Trigger.

Although I'm kinda glad about that. Since some studios just stick to a similar art style even on adaptations.

Yeah, Kojima Productions' staff through and through too, and I didn't expect that after Sean Eyestone reiterating at subsequent KojiSta's since E3 their full commitment to 'crunching-time' for MGSV! Cool surprise.

Also, I don't have anything against Scandinavian death metal legend Ludvig Forssell but, after teasing us with the 'Silent Hill' theme song, the presence of Akira Yamaoka feels unavoidable, it would be very strange not having him on a subsequent full project. His involvement on another recent Mr. Kojima's produced work like the SUDA51'S SDATCHER radio drama was so nice, the atmosphere that impressive soundtrack creates is fundamental on it!
