Zac: "Do you thnk the anime industry needs to be saved?"
Yura: "It needs to be saved from the stereotypical moe industry."
Yura: "I am a big fan of Knights of Sydonia and Attack on Titan."
LOL

Yura: "We already had offers for 26 episodes of Under the Dog... We have absolutely no plans to do a TV series".
First season covers part 1 of the manga. Second season covers part 2. There is no need to read the manga for those parts, the anime does a good job for the most part.
Yura: "We already had offers for 26 episodes of Under the Dog... We have absolutely no plans to do a TV series".
Oh man, the Ping Pong OST is out and it is absolutely sublime.

He's just saying they need to be more stealthy about it. ¯\_(ツ_/¯Zac: "Do you thnk the anime industry needs to be saved?"

I think the industry shapes directors to work with who they can get.I'm a little bit worried about the people Ando is grouping up with
lol this industry is doomedZac: "Do you thnk the anime industry needs to be saved?"

Part 3 of the manga is fully translated so you can read that. Part 4 is getting close to completion in translation. And Part 5 just started last year.Ah, I take it there is a part 3?
if so then I will likely just read the manga (I have more time to read manga then watch subtitled anime anyways)
Yura: "We already had offers for 26 episodes of Under the Dog... We have absolutely no plans to do a TV series".
They want more freedom, which is valid. (Even if they aren't going to take full advantage of it.)What?
... why?
They want more freedom, which is valid. (Even if they aren't going to take full advantage of it.)
I want to support Under the Dog, but half a million for that quality animation isn't making me confident.
edit: nvm just saw it's one episode.
reading the kickstarter aren't they saying that they want to make the single episode to maybe one day make a full series? It's not gonna sell enough to make a full series, I mean they aren't even reaching the goal.
gotta pander to ann's peabrained audience somehowZac: "Do you thnk the anime industry needs to be saved?"
Yura: "It needs to be saved from the stereotypical moe industry."
Yura: "I am a big fan of Knights of Sydonia and Attack on Titan."
yup 580k for one 24 min episode
double that for 2 eps
triple that for 3 eps
(1.8 mil for a pointless california premiere)
5.1 mil for a 90 min movie instead
if it was the movie from the start I'd be more likely to pledge, but I am to cheep to pledge nearly $1 per minute of entertainment I would get back blindly. (If I knew I liked it that would be another story like my $80 time of eve pledge a while back)
I think their hopes on western anime fans were a bit too high. I'd say a grand majority watches anime for free.
I don't even think one of the many video game kickstarters reached 5 mill. I think the closest was Wasteland 2.
Yura: "We already had offers for 26 episodes of Under the Dog... We have absolutely no plans to do a TV series".
ouya made over 8.5mil
wasteland 2 only made 2.9 mil
video game kickstarters that have made more are
double fine adventure (3.3mil)
mighty number 9 (3.8 mil)
Project Eternity (a little under 4 mil)
Torment: Tides of Numenera (a little under 4.2 mil)
He wants to replicate the Ghost in the Shell/Yamato 2199 plan by having several OVAs spread out over a long period followed by a trilogy of films. Yeah...reading the kickstarter aren't they saying that they want to make the single episode to maybe one day make a full series? It's not gonna sell enough to make a full series, I mean they aren't even reaching the goal.
More like pander to Zac. Yura brought up the fact that he was raised in Australia like three times. He's the outsider that is living the dream, saving Japan with his Western education. Zac probably fapped when he heard that.gotta pander to ann's peabrained audience somehow
To be fair, the context is that the Japanese anime industry is doomed. Since that is the case, working with them would also doom their project. These people need a lesson in PR, I feel.

Well what do you know, my memory wasn't as good as I thought.
But I feel the need to mention that the bolded is the most hilarious kickstarter I had ever seen. The disappointment post-release was great, youtube videos of unboxings were hilarious as everybody tried to sell it back.

at this point i just imagine the ann crowd to be a swarm of wannabe zac's spewing endless zacisms in the hope they'll be as "worthy" as the original proto-zac. thats the general gist of what ive seen whenever someone calls out ann for their garbage practices/opinionsMore like pander to Zac. Heartcatch Precure 2
An episode where tsubomi redefines the non-violent 70's "Flower Power" movement by using it for violence.
Also did that fairy just poop out the Heart seed? WTF?
The spots where they're trying to sell you something is super obvious too.
Fun fight though.
The only reason why I would doubt that is because Zac has a huge contempt for his audience, to the point where he probably wishes most of them would stop visiting the site. lolat this point i just imagine the ann crowd to be a swarm of wannabe zac's spewing endless zacisms in the hope they'll be as "worthy" as the original proto-zac. thats the general gist of what ive seen whenever someone calls out ann for their garbage practices/opinions
Yeah they actually crap out heartseeds. Its a bit odd.
Isn't Canaan not that well regarded?Ando: I worked on Canaan about 5 years ago and turned out very well
If you want a recent zacism he thinks the first season of Space Dandy was stronger than the second.at this point i just imagine the ann crowd to be a swarm of wannabe zac's spewing endless zacisms in the hope they'll be as "worthy" as the original proto-zac. thats the general gist of what ive seen whenever someone calls out ann for their garbage practices/opinions
Did you listen to that 2 hour monstrosity? If you want a recent zacism he thinks the first season of Space Dandy was stronger than the second.

Fate/Illya 2wei! 8
Finally we get back to why I'm watching this show, quality fight scenes like this. Ufotable should show Bazett in their UBW adaptation, it'd actually make sense with that route's focus on Lancer.
I'm not sure how Crunchyroll botched the translation and said Bazett was from the Church when even my non Japanese speaking ears heard the line say Kyōkai (ie mage's assoication).
Nope. The series are only loosely connected by the massive crossover movies, and even then, there's no continuity whatsoever. Also are precure seasons actually connected? In Dokidoki the enemies are called Selfish and in heartcatch they're desert people or whatever.
Yeah. I don't know how it was two hours because none of them actually watch anime or really want to talk about it. I appreciate some of the stuff Daryl does but ultimately he's a fraud with narrow tastes that almost exclusively targets action or thriller type shows that cater to a male audience. So like...from this season Daryl enjoys Tokyo Ghoul. He also enjoyed pretty much every movie he watched this year, which says a lot about how tight the box he lives inside is, and what low standards he has.Did you listen to that 2 hour monstrosity?
I like Daryl, but I can't take 2 hours of Zac.
Isn't Canaan not that well regarded?
lol, poor Daryl.Yeah. I don't know how it was two hours because none of them actually watch anime or really want to talk about it. If Heartcatch is like other Precures, it's going to be a combination of arc episodes and standalone episodes.Thought so.
Heartcatch 3
God Erika is still super annoying.
Do they keep up with this monster of the week formula or does it change up every now and then?
Thought so.
Heartcatch 3

Glorious
I might have to watch that show meow instead of later.
