Did this fight really need to be two parts? It is pretty inventive and clever, even though the High Priestess got on my nerves quickly with that noise it makes. I don't know. It may well be the case, but I've heard plenty of people complain about deformed or exaggerated animation by calling it off-model or 'sketchy' or 'unfinished', I mean, let's not forget that famous stretchy face Naruto gif!

I know we had plenty of people complaining about Ping Pong and the Dandy episode with the fish (in the animation department). In Ping Pong particularly I recall many not being able to let go at how 'ugly' the characters were. Moe anime has ruined us.

Still I freaking love the Eva franchise. Definitely one of the all time greats. The 3rd film is not liked nearly as much as the first two but I like that that it made rebuild something of its own and not just a repeat of the original anime with some changes. As said before there's even evidence saying that Rebuild is a sequel which makes it even better.

Cardcaptor Sakura 26

So the Nanoha method of getting out of the Maze, when Sakura does it, only causes everything to go all MC Escher, but when Kaho does it, she's able to execute a flawless escape. And she knows Touya apparently. This feels mostly like a setup episode, and what it's setting up, I hope it plays into the larger story of things. That shrine has been there since the beginning, and in stories like this it almost always has a larger role to play.
