I'm interested doing watchbet with either Corvo or Basileus, their taste seem aligned very close to mine with some difference.. I think we can provide example doing this thing correctly!

Crunchyroll has it but it seems so strange that nobody licensed it for DVD/Blu-ray. There are so many shows that I've seen get releases that I know this would outsell them. For shame, though, nobody wants the money (Or the Japanese companies don't want it licensed for some reason)

Im not sure why either. It is marketable and really fun. Theres some action and plenty of cuteness and you can tie it to Nanoha somewhat in terms of design and influence. Its way more marketable than some of the shit that DOES get licensed. There has to be some underlying thing holding it up or preventing it outright.

It's probably Aniplex of Japan wanting too much money from it. CR credits them as the distributor and it came out during a period of time where AoA wasn't licensing everything from their parent company. I incredibly sympathize as the show I want them to get isn't even streaming (Natsuiro Kiseki).

AoJ is likely wanting a higher fee/royalty for their shows than most NA distributors want to pay now, thus AoA is the only one that will bid for those titles (excluding Black Butler, which did fantastic for Funi and they'll pay a lot for it).

I'm not sure which one I like better between Kino's Journey and Mushishi. They're both great, really. I might lean a bit more towards Mushishi, just because there's more of it. I also love the slower pacing of Mushishi; it's very relaxing, but it makes it feel like I'm watching a more real, natural world. Kino's more about the ideas than the atmosphere. I wish there was more Kino, honestly, but with the director gone I'm not sure if that could (or even should) happen.

Aniplex is really stuck in an older way of thinking that is ultimately damaging to its properties.

So I know you youngin's are good with the technology and so forth. I was just thinking of trying to make an "analysis" video as a test (in the vein of Feminist Frequency, since that's the only example that comes to mind at the moment), but I have no idea how to manipulate anime files in a way that would make them easily editable (particularly with subtitles). I don't know if anyone here has AMV experience or editing experience, but I'd appreciate if someone here could point me to any helpful resources if there are any out there.

At the moment, I'm having trouble even making clips, so I'm further behind than square one.

Why isnt this show licensed in the US? It would be so much easier to get. I think the japanese version is actually subbed somehow in english but I havent gotten around to tracking it down to buy it. It deserves a local release though!

Oh god...

It gets so aggravating you might throw things at your TV. Be forewarned.
If you love Koko, the show will always be enjoyable to see her doing what she does, but oh man this show just has so many twists and turns in it that piss a person off. Then theres that one element that you might have just discovered that IMO really ruins the pace and flow of it and Im hugely grateful when that element is not present. I feel like this show could have been really great if not for that thing, if a lot of melodrama.

quite the ntr fest indeed. the twists are ... whatever right now. and everyone in this show is stupid or a masochist.

One Piece used to be a good anime before the terrible pacing kicked in.

It was decent at one time. Around Enies Lobby it started going downhill, and it just keeps getting worse and more Toei. Marineford is the real breaking point, they butchered that hard.
I don't know how much more of the budget they can scrape off before it just becomes Inferno Cop.

You'll probably want to look into AVIsynth scripts. Stuff like this is one thing the AnimeSuki forums actually are good for.

Some time ago I posted about the huge corrections Wizard Barristers ep6 got on BD, but ep5 had a ton of corrections too. For an episode without any actual action, they seem to have put just as much effort into fixing it up as much as possible. I guess that 3 month delay was worth it?

Completely redrawn mob characters:

Completely redrawn side character and background:

Completely reanimated scene:

BD - http://webmup.com/roOHy/vid.webm

Completely reanimated dance at the end:

BD - http://sakuga.yshi.org/data/be0acef4571e1d144143dbf812ffc2e4.webm

There are a gazillion corrections throughout the episode too, but those are probably the most interesting ones. The dance correction at the end is probably the single most impressive change so far in terms of overall quality and effort.

I love seeing stuff like this. The changes to that dance are... dramatic.

After a delay to read all of Akame Ga Kill, back to anime

SAO S2 E11

I almost wish it was "he has magic hax bullets lol" as opposed to
there are TWO death guns one in the IRL one in the game
as that'd have made things more interesting. Also the fact we got no reaction shot Asuna and the harem seeing Kirito and Sinon in the cave made this whole episode worthless :p

kyousougiga episode 0

So this is just a recap reliving that dissapointing but yet beautiful & nonsensical ova again.

Just another anime visual showcase, there wasn't enough here to dare call this a story nothing more then a waste of time fireworks display of beauty.

Now that's a damn good remaster.

Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket - 2

Really? This kid's 11 years old and he barely even bats an eye towards the devastation and horror that happened in his own colony? I mean, this show goes from people injured by rubble and some in horrible car-accidents to Al jumping for joy that school was cancelled by it all.

Other than that, we have our Zaku pilot almost getting himself killed as his superiors send him in as an expendable driver to attempt to get into the colony. Jerks.

Haly

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
I think you're overestimating how sensitive kids are to war. To a lot of kids my age (10-11) when 9/11 happened, it was just something "really bad" according to the news/our parents, and we got some days off out of it.

Al was an annoying little prick, but only in that way oblivious 11 year olds can be.

Really? Maybe for Thriller Bark, but nothing after that. It certainly doesn't seem like the quality has been nearly as good since then

AnimeGAF. Where masochists gather.

I thought that was MangaGAF.

The Iron Giant

Why in the fuck did I wait fifteen years to watch this??

Sounds like I'm missing out?

You are. He should be in SRW.
