I've always thought Silver Spoon would be better if everyone got naked to farm.

I do have to say Nikumi's bouncing breasts are rather annoying. That's an anime trope that always gets under my skin, because it's such a gross way to sexualize a character. And why does she have an American flag pattern on her bra? Despite her tan, she doesn't seem to be a foreigner.

Yeah, it's really annoying. But it's pretty much only for her introduction. After that, they don't seem to focus on it anymore.

I'll watch that show eventually, although I really don't expect this to be the kind of show I'd enjoy even if it's apparently high quality. But I'll see about that then.

I wasn't expecting to like it as well, as it's generally not my type of anime, but damn, it's too good.

Didn't know there was a movie, tho.

A delayed anime episode may eventually be good but a bad one is bad forever.

I only wish game developers still took this to heart too. They have long ago forgotten this important phrase, preferring to release now and patch later.
In anime you cant really patch though lol.

Full Moon Wo Sagashite ep. 22-27
tumblr_loaiutkRE01qeu0vro1_500.gif

We are into the full second season now that the OP and EP have changed from the originals. There is finally a new song to be sung and the rivalry with Madoka keeps going on. I really really hate that girl, btw.. As normal, some really touching moments throughout, but mostly everyday life in the music business. BTW, hopefully, the Sensei and Manager do hook up by the end of this thing, since they are a sweet pair together, lol.

Madoka is pretty annoying yeah. I dont hate her but she is pretty insufferable towards Mitsuki. I dont really like Madokas version of Eternal Snow either. Too fast and not heartfelt. Mitsuki owns that song.

Evil Vanilla is great. She gets stuff done and isn't afraid to antagonize Chocolat. Too bad not even Pierre cares about her. Woo and Soul are doing better as of late. Waffle just disappeared, which is fine with me. Blanca has also basically just disappeared, even though she's still with Vanilla. Odd. Candy doesn't seem to care that her daughter has gone to the dark side. Chocolat is great as always.

I understand that Toei does long running series but why can't they just do 2 cour or even split cour for some of their series in order to keep their quality in check. I mean have you see World Trigger that's just unbelievable even for a long running series.

For some series they should definitely try probably 2 cours or split cours (Gintama is a good example of even long running shonen doing this) but for some like One Piece it's just impossible because of huge moneymaking machine surrounding it. It must air every week. Sure even with their long running series they definitely should improve the quality (especially considering how crazy popular some of their long running series are).

Oh Takehito voicing what seems to be an enemy leader, might be interesting. Beefy ant dude wanting to be an uncle was pretty sweet. I wasn't prepared for the Leorio looking dude's face.
Did red ribbon really tsunami herself from being in Skeletors presence? I want him to be an asshole based solely on his looks, but I guess I'm fine with him being a rather caring ruler. Whatever just give me more crazy pls:

Oh niiiiice!

I'll probably pick up most of that stuff during the holiday sale. Making a list of stuff I want then.

Yeah I'm trying to hold out but that Best Buy sale was pretty good. I have my eye on the Persona 4 Golden Sets next. I'm waiting to see if RS jacks up the price on Volume 1 since it's still in preorder until next week.

I'm desensitized to anime tropes, once you've seen a lot of them you just get used to it.

I loved it a lot, but I really enjoy coffee and cafes and such. The rabbit is way too cute. Its an Angora.

Standard moe girl show, I didn't really feel much for it and I love shows like Kinmoza and Non Non Biyori.

I didn't particularly enjoy what I saw of it, but then I really didn't see very much of it. It's a cute comedy set in a small cafe, where there is a girl who has a rabbit on her head.

Cute show. It's sort of like KinMoza.

Nice, so it's just a cute comfy show then... It's way down on my list, so I'll catch it someday...

NGNL... When are we getting season 2 dammit, I really liked that smart a$$ protag....

I'm looking at those too. With AoA stuff, the price usually just sits at the exact listing for all of eternity. I was juts going to hold of on that till the holidays as well.

NIkumi, or Meat as some call her, is the token American character with big boobs. Thats how anime portrays americans, like it or not. Im not fond of big boob characters obviously but I guarantee you among Soma fans you'll find a lot of fans of her.

Yeah the show is basically a feel good, very warm show. It comes and goes with little consequence, but it puts a smile on your face. The artwork is super adorable. I have an artbook of it!

As for NGNL, I demand a season 2. Its begging for one.

Bikini Warriors - 02

This week's episode was pretty good. Involving deep topics like economy, royalty, prison and plenty of sorceress hat. I am pleased.

More like Overlooordzzz. This is way too slow. Maybe it's being too faithful?
At least it seems in the third episode something will really start.
The first episode established the rules and setting of the world and why things are they way they are. The second episode out of necessity, explains who the main characters are that Momonga will be dealing with from here on as well as opening out into the world and it's surroundings. They've trimmed a lot as it is. A lot of the internal monologue has been cut out so decisions and events seem like they happen a lot faster.

Yes, yes she did.
His personality is such that what he thinks through on the inside is different from the outside. He is trying to display a front of someone that is essentially a "supreme being" to an entire army of undead and miscellaneous.

Show still looks like hot garbage in places. Poor so-bin's designs.

It's hard to apply the "Don't let yourself be blinded by fear or anger. Everything is only as it is." motto when mushis are ruining one live after another.

Did we really start the episode with a bra try-on session? Nikumi has to be my least favorite character in this show so far. Well, at least seeing her getting taken down was satisfying. It's always satisfying to see Soma wipe the floor with his elitist competitors.

I'm desensitized to anime tropes, once you've seen a lot of them you just get used to it.

I've seen a lot of anime over the years, and I'm much more accepting of "anime-isms" than the average person off the street is, I'm sure. But that doesn't mean I'm going to approve of shows that resort to lazy, cheap, or tired cliches to attract an audience instead of putting in the effort to make something truly worthwhile.

Yeh it's not even funny how disastrous a lot of those mushis are on people's life. I guess I can't call them evil because they don't really have much of a consciousness but I'd hate to live in that world where, at any moment, you may encounter a mushi that turns your world into a nightmare, without you actively realizing it at first either.

Episode 21 I thought had a particularly messed up mushi.

Overlord 02

Ok the harem catfight elements are so ridiculous that I almost want to give them a pass because I don't think I've ever seen a girl cum herself then argue with the other haremite how she doesn't love skeleton-kun enough because she did not cum herself so I can at least say it is breaking new ground in the harem genre but nothing really happened this episode? I kind of expected this to be like Dragon Quest from the Dark Lord's perspective but it's really not. MC can't carry this forever especially with the lack of boner jokes

HOWEVER KOYASU CAN MAYBE?

Monster Musume 02

Once again, Monster Musume is the sad tale of a man in a survival game constantly under threat of death from monster girls who don't know their own strength.

Papi still sucks, Centorea is ok, I like her VA

And not even the characters in the show can remember Darling's name!

I actually really like this one so far. I mean, it would be great if the cool MC took up a couple of the girls on their offers, but ya know, anime harem....lol.

The action sequences and the story are pretty good and it's fun to follow. There is a bit of fanservice, but other than the swimsuit "crotch shot" screens that were very obscure and realy needless, it hasn't been over the top at all. I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would overall. Low expectations= better experience, lol.

No worries, Nikumi gets sidelined to cheerleader status pretty fast and she's easily the most sexualized character in the whole series

King/Starchild wasn't high on the production committee (mostly Tatsunoko and Yomuri Television). The box itself is a relatively cheap 25000 yen, or around 4167 yen per 6 volumes. It's not too much cheaper than singles, but they likely didn't expect to sell many.

Boxes depend on the publisher and their goal. If it's to make a fair amount of money, you'll see singles. If not, you'll see box sets. VAP is the publisher who most often sells sets as they sell a lot of NTV's dramas in those, but they'll go singles if they're the big financier of the project or if they expect to sell more units than usual (Chihayafuru S1/Crowds Insight).

Oh, they got third ending song? I wasn't expecting that, especially considering how short this series is. The question of whether or not Natsuki's cowlick is sentient is still up for debate - Natsuki's ability to avoid directly answering has led me to suspect it's actually a parasite. It's true that the cowlick is one of her only character traits though. If it were cut off she'd just be a background character who makes retorts.

There's this one song on the soundtrack that bugs me because whenever it plays I think it's going to segue into the Servant x Service OP (couldn't find a better video,) which always leaves me faintly disappointed when it doesn't, even though that would never happen.

"Jiggly bits" aren't really an anime invention. You see that sort of stuff in lots of porn/racy videos - it is inherently sexually appealing. The issue of course is that anime is prone to extremes, inserting jiggle when it would be contrary to the laws of physics or increasing the intensity and duration to such a degree that any similarly (or half as much really) well endowed woman in real life would be like "nah fuck this shit, I'm going on put on a sports bras and sit my ass down".

I liked the "horror" version of the training camp pamphlet. It expresses the true harrowing nature of Totsuki quite well.

This training camp arc is off to a good start in general. I like all the new characters being introduced, but this guy is my favorite:

He didn't appear for long, but his introduction was so badass - pointing out a random student in the crowd and instantly expelling him just for the scent of his shampoo - that I can't help but admire him. Takumi is a pretty interesting character too, because he's the first person who feels like a genuine threat to Soma, due to his practical restaurant experience and out-of-the-box thinking. I wonder how Soma's going to respond to this new challenge, because it seems like he'll really have to step up his game.

Is that opening montage or whatever indicative of what this show will be like? Because all of it looked awesome! There was lots of action and some great looking animation.

Anyway, liked this first episode. The show just oozes style, and the music is great too. But I kinda feel a tad lost? As if I should be up to speed on things already. Is this not the first anime in this series? If so, what order should I watch these in?

Watch it in release order. The timeline is mixed up. You're starting with the correct season.

Not exactly, since the opening montage draws from the events of Kizumonogatari, a prequel to Bake, but it sets up the right tone, particularly for the climax that each arc will reach.

Anyway, liked this first episode. The show just oozes style, and the music is great too. But I kinda feel a tad lost? As if I should be up to speed on things already. Is this not the first anime in this series? If so, what order should I watch these in?

You're correct; this is the first in the novel series and the first in the anime adaptation series, so this is the right place to start. You're meant to not know everything about the background. The anime mostly adapts the books in order, except for Kizumonogatari, which is supposed to come second I believe but its anime film adaptation has been infamously indefinitely delayed. But Tatsuya Oishi seems to still be working on it, so hopefully it will see the light of day eventually! Maybe when FF XV comes out.

That was a trailer Kizumonogatari. A prequel story that will soon, vey very soon air in cinema's. Don't worry Bake is the first to watch from the series. Even though chronologically there are two stories that take place before it. And no it won't look like that. Action is very infrequent, it's mostly talking. (but the rare action scenes look great)

This arc is what boosted this show from like to love for me. Takumi is a fun rival, but the best character introduced in this arc is Dojima.

Dojima is the boss.

No you started on the right one. The general order to watch is by when they were released rather then timeline like so:

Bakemonogatari -> Bakemonogatari OVA* (Not all the episodes up on Crunchy since they needed to air the final 2 or 3 episodes later due to delays so you need to find them yourself in order to finish the Tsubua Cat arc)-> Nisemonogatari->Nekomonogatari: Kuro->Monogatari Second Season->Hanamonogatari->Tsukimonogatari
