I was going to recommend Honey and Clover, but it isn't on your list.
From your list and based on what you're looking for, I'll recommend Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki, Nodame Cantabile, and D-Frag. There are other good shows on that list like Welcome to the NHK though.

So I got around to watch two episodes of Sore ga Seiyuu. It doesn't score well for presentation but it certainly does well in terms of content and entertainment. Very thorough explanation of what happens in a typical voice over session and how they associate with a production company. Ichinose is an interesting character, I liked her reasoning to become a VA: "If it's going to be hard getting a job on my education, I might as well make my hardest dream come true." I hope they just don't leave it at that dialogue and dabble on it more in the later episodes.
Shirobako also dabbled on VA but relatively less considering it also has to cover a wide range of aspects of anime making in general, Sore ga Seiyuu seems to be in depth.

[Space Pirate Captain Herlock: The Endless Odyssey]
The Endless Odyssey is a 13 episode OVA series from 2002, directed by Rintaro and produced by Studio Madhouse. Chronologically, it appears to be a follow-up to the original 1978 anime series, also directed by Rintaro. It is worth noting, however, that the Leiji Matsumoto universe is full of reboots and re-writes so it's best not to worry about these minor details.
Like just about every version of the Harlock story, the main details remain the same. The titular Captian Harlock is a legendary space outlaw whose space-pirate ship is the Aracadia. Harlock, together with his loyal crew, must battle some kind of malevolent force to save, in this case, the universe. So far so familiar.
I, personally, find it quite hard to get invested in these stories because Harlock himself is such a cold, aloof figure. His trademark characteristic (besides his iconic design), is his complete devotion to the concept of living as a free man. That means free to defy the law, free to be a pirate, free to not help those in need and even free to kill. I imagine that, economically, he'd be a Libertarian and presumably support a rather minimal state. As you'd imagine, based on his beliefs, he's not actually that 'heroic' in the traditional sense e.g. selflessness. He's 'heroic' in that he stands up to much bigger forces, whether it's the corrupt Earth Government or Evil Aliens, but he only opposes such forces 'because he feels like it' or because it's important to him, for some reason. He certainly doesn't go out of his way to helpful, or heroic, at all.
Still, it helps that this particular series is rather short so my usual problems with these works don't have time to manifest. As you'd expect, considering the directer is Rintaro, these OVA's are fairly stylish. My only real complain is that the story drags in the middle with some apparently pointless sidequest which feels like it could be excised. Luckily, the finale is sufficiently strong to bring up my overall enjoyment of the work:
There are a few stand-out techniques that Rintaro employs throughout the entire OVA, but a particularly old fashioned one is the wipe. Hell, the last episode even uses a shutter wipe:
I also feel compelled to point out that this series has one of the worst dads in anime:
Also, Harlock's ship HAS A GOD DAMN KNIFE:
So yeah, it's a pretty cool OVA, I guess. Probably my favourite piece of Harlock related media, even though My Youth In Arcadia is far more beautiful as a piece of film making.

Woah. I didn't know there was a Space Pirate Harlock anime. Gonna have to check it out. I watched the CG movie earlier this year on Netflix and thought it was awesome.

You will all be happy to know I am here to report some hot scoops on Makura no Danshi AKA Pillow Boys.
Pillow Boys is fucking weird. I cannot confirm or deny if the Pillow Boys are actually people or just pillows given a human form and life. Pillow Boys is four minutes long, counting the OP. In that four minutes most of the time is dedicated to a pretty boy with pretty eyes but also sleepy eyes and he looks super bored when he talks to the viewer in his pretty voice. I don't think a show has ever been so upfront with something like this. Pillow Boy #1 (Pillow boys don't have names) asks you how your day went and listens and then asks you to sleep on him and also wants to give you a massage because pillows can do that? I assume you are supposed to watch this before you got to bed then have sweet dreams of bishonen and it is probably going to work

First episode walked a fine line between the possibility of a fun show and mediocrity. It ended up on mediocrity for me, but I'll give it some more episode to see how it develops. So far though I'll say that I don't like the characters and the initial plot appears pretty silly.
Ibuki lost points initially for his getup and afterward for his personality while the evildoers lack any charm.

Highschool of the Dead 1-12
So after the recomendations I got for a good zombie apocalypse anime a couple night ago, I decided to go ahead and marathon through the series. I will say, its not the best show I have ever watched, but it was enjoyable none-the-less and managed to scratch the 'zombie/undead' craze I had going for the past couple days.
Luckily for me I'm pretty much decencitized to ecchi in general, so I was able to ignore that aspect and just enjoy the story/zombie killing. Anyhow, think I might pick up the manga and continue the story because I am sort of interested to see how the group fares.

It's about Momo making a harem because she knows she can't beat her sister or Haruna. Polygamy is okay as the Emperor of Deviluke. You need concubines as a ruler of the universe.
Can't wait for Nemesis to show up, and then conclusion of the story. The last episodes are going to be fantastic.

I just find this noteworthy because I think it's the first time I've seen the seiyuu directly promote a show during the anime itself. I've seen it in jdramas where the actors tell you to go read the book that the show is based on, but during an anime? I don't know if that's desperation or simply just laziness and saving money on an end credits animation.
