I'm sure you'll think of something.

So right now I've got Hyouka (23 episodes i think, counting the side story) and Your Lie in April (22 episodes).

Jojo season 1 is 26 episodes.

Jojo Stardust Crusaders is 48 episodes.

If you want to recommend me something else to go along with it, here's my MAL and everything I've completed.

It's gonna be hard. You've watched a lot of my favorites... I am sure I'll find something though.

Edit: Looking at your MAL and I noticed the score you gave Clannad. Your impressions a year ago told another story. I must've been under some false impression. I thought you liked it a lot more but I guess not.

Hmm Aniplex. Ill buy it.

See I want to buy it but I know they will charge an arm and a leg for a product that NIS or even Sentai can do for much, much cheaper and better.

My Love Story 13

Once again the main cast doing what they do, plus Sunakawa's sister. Unfortunately, a new challenger enter the ring. Right from the get go, Oda rubs me the wrong way, and he hits a bunch of the buttons which piss me off.

Annoying new character introduced midseason to shake up the status quo? Check.
Incredibly creepy and committal to behavior that would prompt most normal people to call the cops? Check.
Given a scene late in the episode meant to reveal him as a better guy that fails to do so? Check.

Oda gets extra terrible points for being shown in his own flashback as irresponsible and immature. The show does show that Ai cares for him here, in a big sisterly way, so I buy some connection, but... ugh. You weave characters like him in. You don't jam them in with a broomstick.

None of the R1 companies can encode video on BD with proper colors with the exception of the discs Aniplex/Pony Canyon send back to Japan. This is a truly false statement. Whine about the price all you want if you're just cheap, but do not pretend the NA companies are better at putting out a good disc compared to the current work by Pony/Aniplex (excepting YuYuYu since Sevakis authored it).

NIS America does fantastic work on their encodes. Honestly I do believe this because I own NIS and Aniplex BDs. But hey yeah, call me cheap if it makes you feel better about yourself.

Opening: Was sort of preoccupied. Surprisingly a good song from what I managed to hear.
Ending: Needs more Alex. Actually liked the song as well.

HOT DAMN!

I thought I'd at least have a reprieve on Wednesday/Thursday.

But now I know I'm absolutely screwed.

NIS, by contracting to Sevakis, screws up the color just like everyone else. Here's some examples using Iroha and Toradora:
Iroha: 1/2/3/4/5/6
Toradora: 1/2/3/4/5

It's definitely more evident in Toradora, but the problems are still present in Iroha. If you want a cheap and inferior set, go ahead, but don't say that Aniplex/Pony (or apparently Discotek now for a movie) is inferior to your cheap sets because it's simply not true.

Whats the total sales of Princess Mononoke?

A bit late to the party (5 or so pages) but Hyouka is a beauty of a show and everyone should watch it.

Game of Laplace 01

Holy crap at the OP. This show went way too fucking dark waaaaay too fucking fast. Also calling this whole thing a "game" with a smile on your face? Man this show is weird as heck. I'll watch a few more episodes, weirdness aside the murder mystery itself is quite intriguing.

So we all got to see the first two episodes of Rokka no Yuusha. I'll try to avoid mentioning anything about the plot.

It was entertaining, but there are definitely issues. Adlet got people in the audience to laugh pretty often with his attitude.

The biggest problem for me will be the pacing. They fit in a lot of scenes from the novel, but it took until the very end of episode two before any real interesting conflict happened. I feel like it'll be difficult to be interested in watching this series until a few episodes have been released. This pacing will be nice when we get to the real conflict (which the staff told us before the episodes), but for now it's not too interesting.

The other big problem is that the show doesn't know how to convey setting or backstory without dumping tons of dialogue at you. What makes it worse is that the direction fails at making the dialogue compelling IMO. The first episode is especially bad about exposition, but the second episode isn't much better about the dialogue.

The art in the show is consistently good. The animation is nice for scattered scenes and overall good. The backgrounds are not too great. I liked the music, but I'm not sure if it's being used as well as it could be,but part of that is just due to the episodes not being very interesting.

TL;DR: Pacing problems and tons of uninterestingly-directed dialogue. Production values are good.

Despite all of this negativity, I think this show will turn out well. It was only the first two episodes and I think, once the show reaches the actual conflict, it will be fun to watch. Plus the girls are cute :D! Looking forward to watching this. Just gotta be honest about these episodes lol.

Well Rokka no Yuusha actually is a mysterious and detective LN, so i guess bunch of dialogue is necessary, even it may bored non-LN reader.
And maybe the mess up of Rail Wars make Passione learned their lesson-though maybe learned too much lol.

Yikes. Is digital distribution catching on in Japan?

Well AX day 1 is almost over, and I just noticed the God Eater prescreening on Saturday. That'll be fun to watch.

Are you sure it wasn't cancelled? It's not even airing this Sunday anymore. They cancelled the pre-screening in Japan too. Production problems galore!

In 8 minutes.

I got to watch a girl throwing condoms at students during her presentation.

Revealing herself to be wife of the MC.

Letting him suck her left breast.

And showing her uncensored nipple while he did so.

I'm actually sort of in a state of shock right now.

Well, I just saw Hikaru Kondo get on stage a few minutes ago and talk about how he wants people to come to the God Eater panel. But he doesn't know when the panel is.

It's clearly cancelled.

I would do pretty much anything for Blurays.

These were upscaled, so they're not going to look as well as they could and it depends if Sentai will use those masters on the DVD or if they get the older DVD masters for how the DVDs will look.

For an example, Funi used the upscaled Shana HD masters to make their DVDs and the S1 ones looked worse than the Geneon ones due to that.

Edit: Looking at your MAL and I noticed the score you gave Clannad. Your impressions a year ago told another story. I must've been under some false impression. I thought you liked it a lot more but I guess not.

Well, let me be honest.

I DID like Clannad a lot back in the day, I did. However now that a lot of time has passed, looking back on it I have noticed it does have a lot of flaws.

That doesn't mean I HATE the show in any way though. When I rank my shows, 5-6s are basically shows that I found some enjoyment in, but I'd only recommend to very specific people.

If you want my opinion on KEY shows in general nowadays, I'm a neutral party. I don't hate them, I don't love them, I'm mostly just indifferent now.

I certainly don't look down on anyone that enjoys KEY anime. In my opinion those shows have a lot flaws, but not so much for me to call them the worst things ever.

But honestly, there's not too many anime things that I hate in general. The only things I've seen that I've truly despised are Madoka Rebellion for destroying what I loved about the show and the Gundam 00 movie for somehow being an even more ridiculous mess than season 2!

But I digress. KEY anime isn't really for me anymore, but that doesn't mean I think their shows and their fans are the worst.

Well Rokka no Yuusha actually is a mysterious and detective LN, so i guess bunch of dialogue is necessary, even it may bored non-LN reader.
And maybe the mess up of Rail Wars make Passione learned their lesson-though maybe learned too much lol.
I read the first LN so I know what kind of show this will be. The problem is that the clumsy way the exposition is handled doesn't give me faith for the confrontations in the future. It's not about there being a ton of dialogue. It's about not being an audiobook.

Didn't know that Viz announced that they are releasing Death Note on Bluray.

Sentai announced today that they got the license.
Ah, was just casually checking my phone during work, didn't get that far yet.

Either way, HOLY SHIT FUCK YEAHHHHH!

I'll give any money for it. Literally a blank check. It's one of my all-time favorites.

Ah, I had no idea. I had seen some screens of the blurays and thought they looked fine to me, though truth be told I didn't have anything to compare it to.

This is at the general AX guest of honor event, so no questions.

Amusingly, only one guest knew when his panel was supposed to be at.

The Daisuki panel should be interesting. They have both God Eater and Concrete Revolutio on their big banner outside the convention center, so one is clearly supposed to be their big Summer show while the other is their big Fall show. Now God Eater could be delayed all the way to August. Lol.

Angry Grimace

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"

Not only does this sound :mangaGAF: it sounds familiar like something I recall someone in MangaGAF talking about

Well that's not easy, the writer of Rokka anime was the writer of Horizon anime series, maybe that's his style? and it seems all Rokka anime episodes will write by only himself.

The show also lost interest in most of the minor, but distinct, characters from the first season while introducing a lot of shitty new ones.

Just watched Chaos Dragon episode 1(chinese official subs)

Well ugh...
worst episode 1 of the season so far, and i think will be still one of the worst even all summer shows aired

The real amazing thing is that the God Eater panel is actually a dedicated event separate from Daisuki's actual panel. And I just checked the most recent schedule and it's still on.

This is going to be interesting in one way or another.

Gangsta 1

Pretty decent I guess. That double jump is still the silliest especially since a shot of him jumping doesn't even exist in that scene in the manga. The censoring on when he stabs his sword through the guy's hand is also silly.

The popoff at the end was amazing, 10/10.
