Aoba discovering full time wages and Labor Day for the first time and tries to protest to Yagami.

Poor Hifumi. She looks like she might just get bullied by Aoba.

So the light novel is still ongoing? I thought it was finished (and that the anime/manga were adaptation of it)

No, the series is not finished yet (which was why I said earlier that none of the questions you mentioned in your very first post are answered yet, even in the web novel). Sorry if I wasn't clear the first time. According to the author, the web novel is around its midpoint.

The show adapts the light novel, which is based on a web novel. It's pretty much the same content between the novels, though there are some differences, if I'm not mistaken. The anime covers everything on the available light novels, plus the new LN coming at the end of September. The web novel is apparently quite ahead. I think the anime covers around the one third of the web novel.

The LN that starts the next arc will be released this October, iirc. If they keep a good pace, we could definitely see a new season soon. Maybe a short one, 12-13 episodes, next year.

All of this is pretty much correct.

Hmm...if White Fox is gonna do a season 2 of Re:Zero in 1 cour, they can probably only fit arc 4 as it is just as long (or maybe longer...lol) than arc 3.

Man, why hasn't the freaking Garo movie come out yet?

I wanna watch it so bad.

It's got to come out before the end of the year... right?

Always nice to see some Kagewani and Majin Bone love.
I really have to get around to watching Garo, I've been meaning to for ages. Yona too. And maybe I should give Concrete Revolutio another try now that it's complete..

I think you would love Garo. (And for clarification, I'm talking about the Yuichiro Hayashi directed series here, not the later anime subtitled Crimson Moon.)

I watched this earlier. That was a fantastic build.

Is that anime any good?

Yeah, Kuromukuro is worth watching. Some annoyances here and there but a strongly executed core with some neat action.

I think so too! Which is why I should probably get to it sooner rather than later.
And yes, I know which one, I've followed Hellwardens journey sacrifice through Crimson Moon :p

Sure. At present, my top 10 of 2015 TV anime would be:

1. Sound! Euphonium
2. Garo the Animation
3. Shounen Hollywood
4. Kagewani
5. Majin Bone
6. Concrete Revolutio
7. Yona of the Dawn
8. Shirobako
9. Koufuku Graffiti
10. Wish Upon the Pleiades

This list just makes me wish Majin Bone aired this year, so I could have voted it AOTY.

Still would have felt good, even if about only five people watched it around here.

Huh, so bullying and stalking actually works.

Duly noted.

No worries, I'm taking care of my side of the watchbet. I haven't forgotten.

Seiyaaaaaaaa

This might be the first time I've seen where the actual anime is better animated than it's opening.

Somewhat related, it's also probably the first OP that consists in 99% of stills. Unmoving ones at that.

I'm rather unsure of the show itself so far. The second episode nailed the atmosphere of gloom despair with some nice storyboarding and an OST that immediately caught my ear but at the same time, it's a show that seemingly won't be in ANY rush to get anywhere. I guess that at this point I don't even know the structure of the show, whether it'll consist of episodic stuff of Casshern meeting people in the wasteland like episode 2, with the main AthenaLuna plot in the background or something else so i'll just venture further still and sample whether this is something I can cope with.

The mere fact that I'm completely okay with Umakoshi's designs makes me kinda proud of my vivid evolution as a viewer. I remember detesting SS: Omega designs back when they appeared.

It's the Berserk x Utena x Evangelion of XXI Century.

Casshew? Eye porn to the max. I mean literal eye porn. Whomever drew this show loves the fuck out of eyes.

Yeah, had prepped like 4 distinct shots of them but didn't want to be even more obnoxious about my pics than usually.

Since I'm apperently a huge trigger fan according graph.anime.plus (third place, second to Shaft and Bones) I decied to watch this anime.
There isn't too much to say about the story and chracters since it's only 1 episode, but they are pretty good.
The really reason to watch Little Witch Academia are the visuals and the animation.
From the excellent character designs to the smoth animation, LWA is gorgeous and highly recommand it.

I guess I should also watch the second movie.
While I'm talking abour trigger, what shows should I watch before Uchuu Patrol Luluco?
Apperntly it has many reference to other shows from them, so I want to watch these anime first.

Also, since someone just mentioned Concrete Revolutio, after I watched 4 episode a while ago I feel like I'm not getting something about this show.
Should I just keep watching or is there something else about the show I should know?

The structure of Casshern Sins is... loose. Atmosphere takes priority over everything else.

I survived (and liked) Ergo Proxy. I can (maybe) do this.

----

There has been seemingly quite a lot of people who dropped TG during it's current arc but if you're not completely averse to battle manga and can bear with somewhat Shinji'esque protagonist, I think it's worth a try.

Oh yeah, it has its own Guts and Batman. Try to not read it now.

I think for the fall, Crunchyroll least has me for the continuation of Bungou Stray Dogs, Sound! Euphonium, and Berserk.

This summer has been pretty good. I have not dropped any of the 6 shows that I have started watching from the get go, including Berserk which is the only one that feels pretty bad in ways, but still enjoyable. I kind of lost some interests in Orange too, but it still has its moments.

This really does feel like a work from a different era in that so many of these jokes wouldn't be done nowadays. So Lum's ex-fiance comes to town and he's apparently super handsome but dumb as a bag of bricks. This however makes women fall in love with him at first sight including...
The main character's mother is now trying to seduce the ex-fiance, who is probably underaged, and run away with him. Holy shit. Lum surprisingly rejects the ex-fiance because the guy's tacky and an idiot, despite seemingly in love with Ataru. This leads to Lum playing the ol' pregnant entrapment card to shake everybody off.
It doesn't work resulting in Ataru and her ex-fiance having a duel in which Ataru's mother is hoping that the ex-fiance kills her son. This is just off the rails and that was just the first half of the episode. The second half has to do with the ex-fiance falling into a depression following Lum dumping him and tries to kill Ataru ending in a chase across town. Man, the 80's were wild.

On a separate note, this is the cutest thing ever:

Other than the two LWA movies, just Kill La Kill and Inferno Cop. The Sex and Violence with Machspeed short from Animator Expo 2015 also has an episode in Luluco, though it's not very different from the original, but watch it anyway. Kiznaiver also has a few quick references.

Also, since someone just mentioned Concrete Revolutio, after I watched 4 episode a while ago I feel like I'm not getting something about this show.

I don't think it changes that much later, so I doubt your opinion will change too. Maybe give the 5th episode a chance.

I dropped :Re because I couldn't keep track of all the damn characters. I want to like it, but reading a chapter and thinking 'Oh cool, it looks like something happened. But who are those people. What is going on.', then going to the manga thread reading impressions and realizing 'Oh, that was something really big and exciting.' repeatedly is just not fun. I might reread the entire thing when it's done, but reading it weekly was a giant pain.
And I say that as someone who really liked the original TG.

So I follow this account on Youtube called Awe me and they have this series called Man at Arms: Reforged. They are blacksmiths that make weapons from shows/games/anime. They go pretty damn far with it, going to extreme lengths to make it as accurate as it is in the original works in terms of how it looks, feels and down to which materials are used to make the weapon.

This week they made Kennosuke's sword from Kuromukuro. I watched that show for a bit, and I know that a few of you still watch it too, so I figured I'd share this. It's pretty cool.

EDIT: Here's the end product:

I always forget how bad the animation is in FMP compared to Fumoffu. FMP is practically stop motion compared to that. There's actually a bunch of good wrasslin gifs in Fumoffu, I'll make the rest of them when I have some time.

Fantastic. It'll just be Sosuke no selling all that flippy indie shit though. Or that time he super kicks a rugby dude.

Yeah the jump in quality when Kyoani took over is staggering. Id love them to try there hand at another mecha show some time but alas it looks like they've more or less become specialized in SOL/drama shows.

...Speaking of wrasslin mecha bullshit(since im burned out on Gundam/Macross for the minute).

Patlabor TV 1

Anything with Goto is A+ in my book. Legit top three anime character of all time for me.

Blue Gender 1

Its been a long time since ive seen such an obtuse set-up for a really simple premise: Mechs vs Bugs. Wonder what way itll go from here; keep the suspenseful horrory vibe or go full on Starship Troopers.

Cross Ange 1

Haha what? What is this even?

I'm not even sure what my opinion on Concrete Revolutio is, which is kind of the problem.

The structure of Casshern Sins is... loose. Atmosphere takes priority over everything else.

It definitely has some great atmosphere. There's few series I can think of that are as bleak. Texhnolyze is up there as well, in terms of having that strange, oppressive and hopeless atmosphere.

I remember enjoying Casshern Sins, though I feel like it could have been more subtle with its dialogue at points. There would be great moments where the visuals along with the actions of certain characters would tell a lot about them... and then another character would verbally explain what we were able to infer. That annoyed me a bit.

Now that I think about it, 'canon' is not the right word. I think 'rough draft' would be a better word for it because the author makes alot of changes when the web novel is being made to a light novel. In other words, the LN is the more refined version of the web novel. Sorry for the confusion. lol.

Macross Delta - 16

No wonder Mikumo loves beating up Freyja at every turn, she's been practically isolated compared to her.

Kuromokuro - 15

Kennosuke's "death" revelation was hilarious, that Hausser is one mad doctor. The purple haired Efydolge has had a pretty drastic change of character which was pretty jarring and looks like Kennosuke's resolve regarding the princess is about to be tested.

Persona 5 the Animation

Alright episode mainly just got me hyped for the game. They said this is prologue story but I hope that's not true because I would like to know how they founded the heart of thieves and how they all met each other.

Mob Psycho Episode 9

Even if the less action filled episodes, the show continues to have great direction. Seems Mob has been holding back quite a bit considering how easily he took care of Koyama this episode. It's also nice to see the other kid espers at work this episode even with their weaker powers.

Man , fall season looks like it might be a drought for me.
The only single show so far that i know i will watch is Gundam IBO S2, apart from that i will maybe consider Bungo Stray dogs S2 and Bubuki Buranki S2 ( but i didn't really like S1 that much of these two shows anyways) Didn't watch Eupho S1 and don't plan to watch S2.

As for the new stuff, the shows that caught my attention and i will give a try, are Drifters and Brave Witches. Well i will also give Keijo a chance.....
Fells like the majority of shows airing in the fall season, are shows about girls doing cute things or SOL comedies or sports shows or a mix of all of them. Neither are things that i am really that fond of.

Genuinely curious, are there any action, drama or mystery shows that people are really excited for in the fall? I don't read manga or novels, so i don't know if any upcoming show is supposed to be really good, apart from seeing the show poster and short teaser?

This one sounds like it could be fun:

Magical Girl Raising Project
The highly popular social network game "Magical Girl Raising Project" is a miraculous game that produces real Magical Girls with a chance of 1 in 10000 for each person. Girls who are lucky enough to gain the power of magic spend fulfilling days. But one day, the administration arbitrarily announces that "There are too many magical girls so they will be halved." The curtain will now be raised on the relentless and merciless survival game between 16 magical girls.

Yeah they have quite a bunch of episodes. But this one seemed pretty relevant since folks are still watching, and the show was talked about on this very page

Danganronpa 3 Future Arc - 09

Intro got me good. Also, I saw what happened at end happening from a mile away. I was ready for it a few episodes ago, so although I obviously didn't know it would happen this way, I knew it would most likely happen some time. This episode was filled with red flags too.

I'm still not terribly invested in this. I continue to prefer the Despair arc over Future.

I'm finding this Re:Zero arc to be really underwhelming and somewhat boring compared to prior arcs. It's fairly anticlimactic and is subsequently dragging as the dangers shown aren't particularly serious threats presentation-wise. Even with the twist of the final episode, this doesn't mean much besides the potential of even more wasted time for the audience instead of something consequential for the characters inside the show.

Rather than having one major battle such as with the White Whale, we're getting a series of skirmishes in which all the characters seem to have little trouble getting through. There's little sense of tension and rather just the feeling of wanting this to wrap up. Subaru's character growth for this arc is done so why is this taking multiple episodes to wrap this up? It's also worth highlighting that the actual fight choreography and animation this arc (and really for the show's run) is fairly lackluster meaning I can't even satisfy myself on a pure action level.

Yeah, sure. As far as drama goes, there's March Comes in Like a Lion, The Great Passage, Sound Euphonium S2, and Yuri on Ice. Flip Flappers and possibly Monster Hunter Stories and Shuumatsu no Izetta should have good action. And Occultic Nine seems a possibly interesting mystery-ish show.

I hope you get further in Cross Ange than me. Every episode I just got increasingly madder and madder until I could literally hear the blood rushing. I made it to episode 19 until I couldn't take anymore, just boiled my blood.

Mob Psycho 100 - 09 = 91

Hey, I've been doing this joke since episode 1!

Mob Psycho 91

The pair-up between Mob and Kirito is still great.

I also was sure that when Ritsu defeated those guys, they would shrug it off as being Shigeo or another esper in the background taking care of them for him. Just didn't feel like Ritsu did it.

Anyway, another solid episode. I'm hoping it stays that way until the season ends.

Sensei discovers the greatest tool for cooking, the Internet, while Tsumugi gets into some kitty shenanigans. This was probably the least plot focused episode so far but that doesn't bother me. Seeing this group of family and friends having fun cooking is enjoyable enough most of the time.

I dropped this a while back but did they just continue doing "dish of the week" kind of episodes? The lack of an actual plot other than that just made it boring for me. They had so many cool elements to play with, like the mom's death, how it could be handled with the kid, the teenager's loneliness because of her mother, etc
