Too much mystery in the first episode of Rewrite that I did not have the patience or interest to go through. So I spoiled myself on everything.

Meh.

When your crash hooks up with your (almost) first.

That was interesting.

Is there a reason they can't hire good VA talent on a project as big as this? Combined with the lousy character design it just makes the cast feel really weak...

I think they want relative new comers for the cast; much like the characters are a group just starting off, so are the actors. I mean they are pretty much tied to the project once they are onboard so already established talent is unlikely to want to join.

Wait lol, I thought this was that mafia anime.

But I guess I was planning on checking out NotTsubasa anyway ...

I feel like people would be pretty hesitant to turn down a chance to work on a proven property like Love Live even if the time investment was high, but maybe I'm wrong. I'm overreacting and it's not that bad, I just wish there was someone who really stood out on the VA side. Yoshiko/Yohane is really off but the demands for that kind of voice are the highest.

ReLife #1-7

It's fairly decent. I like that it can do serious scenes decently even though it tends to do a couple throwaway gags in between at times, which do get on my nerves a bit. The latest episode being all about how they picked the MC to become their test subject felt like it didn't actually do much, since I don't particularly remember anything new being said other than more teasing about the still undisclosed failure that was subject #01.

I guess it's a decent drama series if you're into that, and it does have some decent character development, but it's a bit annoying how much everything revolves around the MC being the one character that's getting others to change, while the rest of the cast were apparently stuck in status quo land until the day the MC began gracing them with his presence.

New busty neko figure?

The only reason I'm buying nendos instead of non-chibi Monogatari figures is because the latter tend to put the girls in pretty awkward poses, and then the one time I find a nice short-haired Gahara figure it was priced at 8K yen, so I noped out of that really fast.

Ononoki/Ougi/Tsukihi/Kaiki when.

You have a better chance in america. Besides the series is lewd.

It's alright if you're into the sportsballs animu.

Caught up and finished Kabaneri. Absolutely loved it.

Such a breath of fresh air. The art, animation, character designs, setting, everything felt so unique compared to all the shit I've been watching recently.

That last episode was so fucking hype. They really delivered on the action. The story was pretty stupid but I knew that going into episode 1.

Great show.

Yikes. That bad? It's a Tales game story, how can you mess that up that terribly?

The only thing going for the show is the visuals. That's it.

-Direction is trash. No sense of time and place despite characters travelling large distances or significant periods of time passing. Editing aggravates this issue especially in episode 1 where it just skips around. It feels like a flashback despite seemingly taking place in real time.

-Characters are unbearingly flat. There's no real reason to care about any of the characters. Some of the really minor side characters die in the first episode and my reaction is "Ok".

-Writing is garbage. There's a scene where a kid is running towards the female lead after his town is destroyed and they telegraph his death in the most hilarious way possible. It makes Berserk look like a masterclass.

-Nothing remotely worth commenting on the storyboard side. Art direction and storyboarding made me appreciate the effort put into God Eater.

-It feels like they crammed three episodes worth of material in the first episode and it's still boring.

-Lots of CGI and lots of it is bad and noticeable.

That's the main problem, the show is just boring as goddamn dirt. Anything not involving the action made me wish I had a fast forward button on me. I would rather watch Berserk than this.

So is First Love Monster basically Recorder and Randsell if Sayo actually started dating Atsushi? That show only worked because Atsushi was kept resolutely innocent and Sayo wasn't that nuts, also it was a series of shorts.

Passable enough, might even stick with it though I really wish mc wasn't yet another outing of that disgustingly tired trope of incompetent yet talented doofus making it through the supreme power of hard work.

Sounds as appealing as it was in the game. -_-

Though I imagine the character side should lighten up once Rose, Edna, and Lailah show up.

I don't know what these parts would be and I played the whole game. They added stuff that never happened in the game? lol.

Only one Seraph Villager
dies at the beginning from what I remember too.

Days 1

I love sports anime so it would take a lot for me to drop this. Sort of hate that OP basically spoils some of the progress of the MC.

But it does have the best girl of the season, Mikleo.

There's a ton of grappling scenes in episode 2 ala Uncharted 4 and one had the main character grabbing Mikleo by the waist and swinging ala Star Wars Episode 4. That had the annoying fujoshis screaming.

A village gets wiped out in the intro episode by a dark cloud that reveals the dragon.

The princess also had a couple of guards accompanying her and they get wiped out by the dark tornado ala Fury Road.

Only Ougi-chan is right. Everyone else is too lewd.

Kagenui, Gaen and Oikura are also in the clear AFAIK. And then Ougi doesn't count anyway because Ougi.

Hes the guy that fucks his sister with the tooth brush right? Now i need that paste bin story of that 4 chan actually doing it.

Don't you go confusing your Monogatari characters around, it's serious business!

Ougi's the creepy dark eyed, white-skinned... Ougi. The character you're talking about is Koyomi Ararararagi, who gets in all kinds of lewd situations with a big-breasted classmate, his tundra girlfriend, his girlfriend's yuri old friend (and self-proclaimed sex-slave of his), a 10-year old ghost, a 10-year old vampire that's actually 500 years old, his busty and tomboyish little sister, his yandere and pettanko little sister, his little sisters' equally young moe moe kyun friend with a twist, a reanimated corpse familiar of one of his acquaintances/rivals...

...Now that I think about it, I bet that somebody who hasn't watched the series and read about it instead would probably not even give it a chance. Like, at all.

Nice avatar. I bet some soundclips from the show could dub a video game or hentai.

Would you be surprised if i said it probably couldn't.
You know, with monogatari being super dialogue heavy and all that.

I feel like people just look at the antics that happen in Nisemonogatari and just write off the show altogether. Which kinda sucks.

So watching Days reminded me that I should get back to Baby Steps. (Started watching it in school. Got busy. Just finished episode 4.) And it's just, so great. You know why Eiichiro starts playing Tennis? Not to immediately be the best, or because he's worried about some random weirdo he just met, or any of that stuff I can never relate to. He got in because he wanted to get some more exercise. He gets into the sport naturally, like a clueless person would. As a result it's not asking me to make any huge jumps in my logic to relate to him. I can actually just watch to see how his plans with the sport evolve. He also doesn't just suffer to get better at the sport. Rather he uses his sharp eyes to supplant his weaknesses. Rooster head here is a fantastic main character.

I'd rather you not go there, actually.

The thing is that the show sounds like a generic piece of trash ecchi harem, but its main driving force and appeal (at least to me) are its ridiculously long dialogues that still manage to be dynamic as hell when coupled with equally dynamic imagery (that gets pretty abstract at times). You have to bear with the fanservice (and the show begins its very first episode with it), but if you want lewd crap then you're better off watching TLR:D, since you can end up with whole episodes of characters talking to each other about stuff with nothing lewd in the way and great character development here.

...But if you just want to hop onto the "lololol toothbrush scene" bandwagon without knowing a thing or even giving the show a chance, by all means, be my guest.

Is there a site that tells us what shows are available on Crunchyroll for different regions. E.g., Canada, USA, UK, etc.
