Should probably go to sleep now. My sleep problems are becoming distressing now. all yesterday my eyes felt heavy (and wouldn't stop watering) and the pressure behind them and on my eye sockets felt like my head was going to explode. Loving the SH2 LP so far. I'd like to know what Matt and Pat think of the Silent Hill movies. I'm not really into the lore but I thought the first film was pretty good. It certainly nailed the look of the games. And aside from a couple plot holes it's pretty damn good. Second film looked like dog shit and I've yet to watch it.
Pat watched the second one recently and gave us a post by post run down on his reactions to how bad that film were.

I watched the SH movies with a friend and he enjoyed the first one, and while I hate the innacuracies and bullshit I can accept that it's a fine horror movie. 2 on the other hand is a bastardization and is bad on every level at the same time.

The gameplay definitely makes it hard to approach and the story is definitely catered to a pretty specific audience, so it's understandable when people don't get it or just aren't into it.
Especially when you compare it to Resident Evil, which has essentially always had the basic concept of shoot zambambos with guns.

I've never played any of the SH games and I thought the first movie was good. I do not know how badly they fuck everything up though and I could see how that would ruin my opinion of the movie.
