So now the Silent Hill 2 LP has gotten up to the part that I had played through when I had to play the first hour for my game analysis class two years ago. Everything after this will be VERY interesting to see, especially if it grabs me more than that opening part did.
Dammit, it's a shame the PS2 version isn't available for rental on Gamefly anymore, because I kinda wanna give it another shot. I don't know what it was that made me so not receptive to it before, maybe just my lack of experience with survival horror at the time or the fact I was told to play something I had no prior interest in for homework. I see the brilliance in regards to atmosphere and tone, but then I remember controlling it to be such a hassle.

It is a good time, I recommend it if your Internet and processor can handle it. I only did it a couple times but streaming our scrubby Ultra matches when it released was fun

Melee combat gets a lot better when you get new weapons, imo. Otherwise it's just tank controls. When holding run it's just a bit slower than RE, though the turn speed is pretty slow.
Holding run does help turn speed too, by the way.

in SH2... The lighting in SH2 is pretty interesting.

It's a survival game where you are being hunted down by robots. Kinda of a stream-bait game.

Boom! Caught up on this fast moving thread. Finished Yakuza Ishin (33 hours to complete) and started a new game plus to do completion stuff. That game was incredible.
Still loving the SH2 play through XD Not sure if that "There's a hole here.." bit is a reference to SH4 (or an allusion). But just outside the apartment there is a reverence to Walter Sullivan and the Wish House Orphanage if I remember right (Baddie from SH4) The only thing I'm not digging is the references to the HD Collection. That shit and its anime voice acting is a blight.
