Most of the Let's Play is me being unsure of information and my friend being 100% wrong about everything.
He actually says not to use Firekeeper souls at one point and stands by that advice despite being completely wrong.
I'm having to correct my schedule for a doctor's appointment, which is the worst part of it.

Are you sure he doesn't mean "Don't consume them?" Of course you should use them to upgrade your Estus. The only one you shouldn't do that with is the soul of the Firekeeper at Firelink Shrine.

No, he just means don't upgrade your estus because he assumes that using any of them will automatically kill the Firekeeper. Even after explaining that we killed Lautrec so she won't die, he still thought it was too risky to use.

Making the blade out of scissors? Obviously its not being used in combat or anything and I guess it is just a gimmick because it is a scissor but you would think blacksmiths would not want to make a sword out of reforged stainless steel

I would also probably recommend picking up a lagi blade of some kind. They're generally pretty good.
