Whenever some serious news story happens like something race related or what's going on right now at my school (someone going missing) I care for about a day, and then after that I get annoyed by it and I just don't care anymore. I'm starting to wonder if I'm just really a huge jerk for having a really quick turn around time when it comes to serious issues, or if I am just a bit too quick to not care. Sorry I'm getting serious again...

Well Fate Stay Night didn't focus on the sex either but the genre was still an Eroge. Most Eroges are Visual Novels or Dating Sims that have a sex scene in them, usually near the end of a route. Sound a bit like KS? The only reason why KS wouldn't be an Eroge is because it isn't actually Japanese.

It's just a symptom of the times. News is desensitizing us to tragedy and is constantly throwing new ones at us, so it becomes harder to care about any horrible news longterm since we're accustomed to not caring after a day.

Yeah, I think that plays a huge part for me as I have tried not to become desensitized but things blow up so much that it gets on my nerves and then makes me desensitized. In all honesty I am probably overthinking this.

I think for me personally, I have been desensitised to things like this because of it being constantly put in our faces by the media and various forms of entertainment. I don't know if I am a good judge for something like this though, I don't exactly have a positive outlook on the world
