Late response, but

Of all characters why
Fang? I would of gone with Hope or Snow. The tier list of characters in my head was Sazh>>>>>>Vanille>Lightning=Fang>Snow=Hope. Now it 's been a while since I completed FF13. I guess 5 years since it released in 2010? I found Hope and Snow to both be idiots. Fang and Lightning are both dicks because Fang just wants to do her job and find Vanille while Lightning wants to be strong or something another. I have nothing against Vanille since she makes Sazh's story better and I was fine with her cutesy attitude. Sazh is just a cool guy.

I wasn't even keyed into the Lightning waifu shenanigans back in 2010. I think she's fine in the first game. I still don't like her much, but she's fine. The other games have kind of marked her with a stain that will be hard to overlook, but eh.

Playing Dragon's Dogma

I was doing an escort mission which was quite far and had tough enemies (I was a bit underleveled). To make things worse I encountered a Chimera and a Drake. But after 2 hours I finally made to the place. The reward was Gryphic Victory (longsword which DOUBLED my pawn's previous attack power) and then I touched riftstone to change pawns.

Here's the thing..... THE PAWN STILL HOLDING THAT WEAPON WHEN THE CHANGING HAPPENED. ALL THOSE 2 HOURS IS WASTED FOR NOTHING.

Sorry for the caps. I just need to let off some steam of my head because of my stupidity.

It was my GOTY 20...12? Is that when it came out? Or 2013? Whenever it came out, it was my GOTY for that year. It's amazing. One of my favorite games of the past gen.

Yes, it's worth playing Dragon's Dogma. The first few hours are almost straight up garbage though as far as content design goes. Once you make it to the main city in the game, you can see how good the game really is

I love the pawn concept and the class system.

Just put on Normal, maybe even Easy if it frustrates you.

Dragon's Dogma has this problem where it's balanced around a 4-member party where 3 are AI controlled, but AI isn't very good. So if you're squishy like a mage, if your melee party memers screw up aggro, you can expect to die from (off-screen) instakills even in some appropriately leveled areas.
