I just keep 3 or so saves. Sometimes your save gets corrupted, or sometimes you fuck up severely and need to go back.

Sometimes things don't go the way you want. In something like Persona I would always keep a save at the start if a month incase I seriously fuck my links or dates up.
New Vegas is another game where I always rotate

I mean, I once lost a game of the new Tomb Raider to save corruption, but I mean, it was the new Tomb Raider, so it wasn't that big a deal. I can see how it would suck on a game you actually care about, though.
