The monogatari series wasn't like that... I mean sure they looked young, but they weren't. So it's all good.

I was told by one of my dad's old friends when I was visiting my hometown, and was eventually told by my mother. After she told me, I remembered a day when I was really young where there was someone banging on the doors and windows really loudly, saying something that I couldn't hear. It turns out that he was a guy my dad owed money to. He eventually left, and when my dad came home he and my mom had a huge fight. I had completely forgotten about it until I figured out what my dad had done.

Well the series was pretty devoid of it, but hinata loving naruto was basically her whole character and this movie sort of ends her character arc which everyone except her did in the series.

what can i say everyones characters motivations were pretty shallow. but hinatas love for naruto was her main motivation to making her stronger cause she didnt wanna be weak anymore and wanted to be as strong as naruto is.

That's unfortunate, I mean I don't think that series is the greatest thing ever, I have a hard time imagining someone over hyping it, honestly it's too weirdly paced, but it's definitely an anime I like a great deal, just because of the crazy style it's done in and the characters are pretty good.

It's not so much as a dirty mind as one that is cautious of tropes. I was watching Your Lie in April, it's basically A-1 Pictures wanting to make a new Anohana. But with any romance show with grade school kids, theres always a danger of it happening.
