Hawken is way more of a real robot game than I had expected. The design of the mechs plus the speed made me think initially it was just a FPS with a mecha skin, but there's thought put into the systems to make them appropriate to the setting.

If you're like 2 or 3 hours into SMT1 you can really appreciate what IV does. It's also just good.
