Classic Fire Emblem style is superior to Awakening's style. That is all.

It's definitely got it's charm. What I would like to see is Awakening's style in actual cutscenes and maybe Classic during battle? I don't know I like both but Awakenings is very clean and polished and I appreciate that just as much as the radical classic design.

I like minarchy (minimal government), actually, and I'd probably call myself Libertarian, but everything about Rand seems closer to a type of Anarchy/Capitalism and promotes purely selfish behavior on a moral level and that's just dumb. The question is who and how to help people, not "don't help people" that's dumb and selfish.

I can see her bouncing back hard from Russian socialism though. Socalism is kinda bad.

Also that sounds awful to read, goddamn.

My dad, and consequently my entire family, bounced back from Fidel Castro's rule in Cuba after being in Batista's relatively good graces, which explains the affinity for Rand.

I actually really enjoyed Anthem, and reading The Giver, which was a shitty version of Anthem except it didn't even go as far, made me appreciate it more. Like the entire pronoun thing is due to the entire hypothetical society Rand made for the book, but if you were reading it purely on it's basis on narrative I can see how it could be annoying.

That's because Persona 4 is a great game with a great cast of characters and you're a monster.

I love both, but I think Awakening's fits that game more.

They're both great and different artstyles and I appreciate what both bring to the series. Nothing wrong with change.

I don't want to hear that from the guy who stabbed me in the chest earlier.
It's fine!
I liked some, just nothing that makes me go ' yea that's super cool', just stays in the middle for the most part.
There's really nothing that makes characters seem super cool, it just gives them more characterization than bland units.

Fabupat nova crystalis.
People aren't good with photoshop, at least they are okay, and not terrible.
I don't know if anyone plays league here, please don't make fun of me if you don't like it that's completely cool, but someone drew some champions in Fire Emblem portrait style and I thought it was really cool!

Sorry if I stepped on your toes or anything. I'm kinda a sucker for getting into those big no-no topics.

Nah, it's just that I consider myself practically a socialist (I think a true Marxist communist society would actually be a perfect society, but there's too much potential for corruption for it to actually work), and you generally seem to be a pretty cool guy. Then again, I (a big fan of science) managed to be good friends with a young earth creationist all through high school, so I guess I can handle it.

You've only played the base version(Eliwood's normal), and not to completion. You don't know the beauty of that game's hard modes. (Also it really does step it up kinda hard after chapter 20.)
I played all 3 games on the highest difficulty. The difference really shows.
The gamecube and wii games were largely the victim of power creep, as your units got stronger and stronger and the enemies just couldn't keep up. It didn't require intense strategy like a hard mode should, just intensely OP units that the game would just give you. Third tiers were busted, and there's a reason they haven't come back since.
Arena was definitely a thing, but that's really an exploit for save-scummers. Try playing the game without it, and it's a very different experience.

I'll let RD slide, but you're out of your goddamn mind if you think Hard or Maniac on PoR is unbalanced.

I stopped playing at FE7's chapter 20 because everything narrative-wise that was happening bored me. Not as hard as Shadow Dragon, but fuck, man.

You know, instead of taking the piss of each other on forums, why don't we settle this in an agreeable way? I've got vanilla Arena right next to me.

I still need to pick that up again

Lemme check those prices

Did you beat Radiant Dawn's hard mode?

Getting right in there.
I respect the idea that is Marxist, in theory, but the risks it presents are too high for it to work in practice. Basically I would just want all the people in a society in work from the bottom up to provide for others. Ideally government doesn't need to do a thing other than roads and shit and there's maybe even huge incentives to donating, doing charity work, etc.

That's me being way too idealistic though.

You don't even like mecha, of course you'd think that.
I guess. It wasn't bad, for a loud thing though.
I don't think I asked but I saw you talk about it a bit. How was Jojo?
Much better than I expected. I expected big dumb fights, and what I got were pretty cool logical ones. And much gorier than I expected too, but 80s manga was a different beast.

I'll start episode 11 tomorrow.

JoJo gore is hard, fast, and almost comedic despite how graphic it is.

Nice, so you made it to Joseph then? Yeah, I may actually watch Stardust Crusaders again when it comes out on Blu Ray because the censorship is so fucked up in it.
Best dogs in media go: Iggy is best.

Littlest Hobo motherfucker. He shot a guy once.

I don't even hate Batista. He was fine at what he did in his time. His return was a clusterfuck of misguided direction, but I have little problem with him as a wrestler. Just his spear. He barely does anything but put his shoulder slightly down and let the other guy run into him.

If the sale ended then you will have failed me for the last time.

had to throw up in my mouth a bit.
It's really actually pretty good, I'm just kind of enjoying slowly upping the amount that I shit on it.

Yes.
And path of radiance's.
It was pretty good, but not as good.
I felt Radiant dawn (especially with those dawn brigade sections) dragged the whole experience down a bit.
Though I can appreciate that it had a much stronger narrative than the gameboy FEs overall.

It's funny, FE7 bored me, but FE8, despite how standard the basic premise was, got held up by its characters so well that it's legit my favorite FE game. Also unlike Awakening, grinding is completely optional and you can have a strong challenge through the game if you never use the tower during the main game. Also to this day I've yet to find a better written villain in FE games than (ACTUAL SS SPOILERS)
Lyon
.

Dude, I thought I was fucked even harder in the head, when all the gore did was make me laugh. It's so gratuitous that it loses it's shock value, and becomes hilarious.
Occasionally it makes me go "Blagheegwhg" in some later parts, but it's actually kinda just part of the fun. It's neat how it pulls it off.

Ok, I'll grant that either extreme, ideally, would be really great. The problem is, Marxism will always end up a dictatorship on some level ("absolute power corrupts absolutely"), and the government does nothing side (I forget if there's a term like Marxism for it) tends to end up with a small group with most of the success, and everyone else living with varying degrees of failure. Given the choice, I just prefer to lean towards the socialist side (probably because of my being brought up fairly liberal, in really conservative area).

oh really
well guess ill start Zeta instead then

Yeah I recently started watching Gundam stuff a few months back so it can get confusing, but if your watching all the main UC shows in order your next stop is Zeta, Double Zeta (Can be skipped if you want to watch chars counterattack sooner, but is also referenced in Unicorn) then Chars Counterattack.
