FE7 is a game you play for being a really good, hard strategy game.
FE8 was a game I played for the story and for the busted ass funny gameplay.

Well of course boosting a character's stats to max makes the game easy, hell, there's an enemy encounter map near endgame that GUARANTEES perma-boost stat items every time you enter it.

The point being that just because you CAN grind, doesn't mean you HAVE to in SS, and I feel people constantly forget that.

Also people blow Eirika and Ephraim way the fuck out of proportion.

I gotta say, it's really refreshing to actually be able to reasonably discuss the merits of both sides, rather than the "No, you're wrong! Obama is the devil!"
(Which is more hyperbole both than you'd think and hope)
that I'm used to. Not to stereotype, but in my experience, rednecks are super dumb.

The Redneck lifestyle generally seems revel in ignorance and old fashioned mindsets. I'm sure there are plenty of smart ones, but every one I've seen/met has been a stupid, homophobic, racist asshole.

And I live in rural Oregon. So that's pretty much everyone I meet.

Yeah, it's blown out of proportion. Still weird tho.
Not the first time there's been incest in FE.
Probably not the last.

That's the difference, tho.
Grinding is somewhat expected in SS, that's why they give you such early access to the tower and all that shit.
In 7, grinding is something that you break the game by doing in the Arena and save scumming, not something that was intended as it was.

I myself have only watched the following In order MSG, MSGZ, MSGZZ, MSGCC, and MSGUC. This basically covers the main story that started in the original MSG and MSGZ at least character wise as far as I know but I'm no expert.

I disagree, I believe the Tower was introduced to encourage newer players to continue playing the game on a pace they could handle, as opposed to a necessary tool in order to beat the game. SS is not balanced with excessive level gaining in mind. On the other hand, I think Awakening WAS balanced with that in mind, despite how it does everything in its power to make that impossible in Lunatic. It's why I look down on Awakening, despite all the things I DO like about it. Well, there's that, and there's the Valm arc...

I love the recruit characters, they have so much chance for stat gain it's crazy. Amelia is amazing regardless of what class she picks. Although I like making her a tank general and destroy everyone.

I can confirm I am the only person on the planet who ever played FE8 and never used Amelia ever.

Right but

I've played through the game at least 3 to 4 times.

I've never had her as a front-liner because I, in an incredible act of stubborness, would always push Gilliam to go for gold. Also he was my General, and as such the person I'd use the Boots on.

Seriously I don't think I've ever played a game in the FE series where I get Boots and DON'T use them on the first Knight unit you get in the game.

Except MAYBE RD.

But gilliam is so much worst than amelia if you make her a general, except maybe in terms of defense. She doesn't even take that long to level!
