Now that I've played about 22 hours of Baldurs Gate, I feel like I understand Eternity more. Now I finally get it, even though before I got it enough to pledge. TIME TO READ SOME UPDATES. Before I wouldnt understand what they were talking about with the gameplay docs, but now...

You've got enough reading material to last you for around 10 hours.

Pillars of Eternity has some pretty incredible backer reporting.

That and 4 other things:

-They are almost always in groups of 3.
-They will jump from far ends of the map to hit with near perfect accuracy.
-Cutting off appendages barely affect their ability to fight.
-They will stunlock the shit out of you if you get hit once.

Some of the enemies in Evil Within have interesting origins/symbolism, like the two headed monsters in this two chapters. They're called "AlterEgo" and are the result of a subject with dissociative identity disorder. The 'monster' head is the "dominant" personality that's why killing it first would kill it permanently.

P.S - I didn't know about this before but that parasite looking thing that some of them have is actually a third head.

P.P.S - If I were to guess why they can't be stealth killed, it's because they're a larger class of enemies, much like another type later on... Also, they have 2 heads.

I dunno, cutting off their arms makes them do dropkicks which are easy to perfect parry.

I should mention, to those who may be confused by my incredibly high regard for Obsidian, I can point to a very clear example. Not only is KOTOR2 the single best star wars anything thats been made, but it's the only piece of fiction that I'm aware of that makes a nuanced, cogent and incredibly compelling case for the Dark Side of the Force, and that point is often hammered around game design elements within the world. It's amazing.

I really need to play KOTOR2 one of these days. 1 was an instant classic for me even though the whole franchise does nothing for me.

Don't forget that they made Fallout New Vegas better than 3 in almost every way.

Well, it's the Exploration Sale for Thanksgiving/Black Friday/Cyber Monday, and there will be another Winter Sale probably in December that will be bigger.

That said, New Vegas is a Daily right now, so you probably won't see it any cheaper next month.

Ugh. I need that. I just wouldn't be able to afford it and my laptop is SHIT. I've beaten it dozens of times and never played one DLC. I only can play the game now when I record footage on my friends laptop.
