I wonder why this wasn't at E3? It was announced around last November, IIRC, and then there was no word on it until this summer.

I'm sure it'll be out in the US sometime in Q1 or Q2, though.

I refuse to believe this isn't being made by TOSE. It's got the exact same art style and sensibilities as the Stafy games.

This is the game that will push me over the edge and make me get a DS and never regret it.

I have to say I came away impressed with how this game looked. When I first saw this a year ago I thought it was just a game that could have easily been done on the GBA. It probably still could, but the art/graphic style, crisp and fluid motion, and new gameplay makes it look like a great entry worthy of Super "Mario" name.

The gameplay looks like Super Mario combined with Wario Land. There actually seems to be a little bit of story (probably as much as Sunshine had, but still not unwelcome). Now that I look over the trailer more and more, the gameplay looks even more varied than I thought. There's the four main powers that Peach gets with her "mood swings" but her umbrella can do so much. The bosses look big and creative, too. Again, I can't emphasize how crisp and fluid the motion is.

Gah... this better come stateside...

Well, since I hate Mario's and Yoshi's voices, it's pretty valid from my point of view. It's nice to find a new Mario platformer that's not marred by something I can't stand.

Hell, it's nice to find a new, original, completely 2D Mario platformer, period.
