I got hyped when I saw 10+ pages of post only to see people who need to get some sleep/be productive spamming nonsense for 4 hours SMH
I feel like this confirms what we saw in trailers but its cool none the less
I doubt Sah was doing anything productive at the time apart from getting ready to go to school/work/whatevs.
«Now consecutive standard attacks will always transition into a finishing move. This is Fox's finishing kick after his standard combo attack.» 26.Feb.2014
«There are many changes being made to attack and defense options for grabbing edges. In this picture, Link is actually trumping Mario's grab. Some other changes include: -Air time and accumulated damage will determine your period of invincibility while hanging on an edge. -Grab controls will no longer be affected by whether you have above or below 100% damage.» 22.Jan.2014
«A red-black effect now appears when you're hit by a strong blow. It'll only appear when you have high damage, so when you see this you're in trouble--and you're probably about to get KO'd!» 29.Nov.2013
«The impact-launch effect has been powered up. The assigned color makes it clear which player will get points in the event of a KO.» 26.Jul.2013
«Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is out now in Europe and North America! ...And to celebrate, Diddy Kong joins the battle!! We've increased Diddy Kong's flexibility this time. This picture shows how far his punches stretch during his strong side attack.» 21.Feb.2014
«The twin rocketbarrels are back, now with the ability to launch along more horizontal trajectories. They can also come off when opponents hit them mid-boost.»
«The heroic Aura Pokémon, Lucario, joins the battle!! We've increased the influence of Aura this time, so a damaged Lucario is truly a force to be reckoned with. Lucario joined the battle for the first time in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which was released six years ago. The production staff of Brawl worked really hard to expand the character roster--without their efforts, Lucario probably never would have joined the battle.» 31.Jan.2014
«There weren't a lot of people who used the Shield Breaker to break people's shields, so we've now made it much more powerful. This pic is from immediately after a shield break.» 10.Dec.2013
«Link's downward strike was designed to change to a Meteor Smash when the tip of the sword is aligned just right at the start. However, it will be removed if it's deemed too powerful overall after some multiplayer play tests.» 06.Nov.2013
«The speed and power of Samus's Charge Shot has been drastically improved. However, that could potentially put her in danger on occasion.» 23.Sep.2013
«Mario Bros., your days are numbered! Donkey Kong in the current build is super strong...but we'll be looking at the battle records when balancing out the characters, so nobody knows how he will turn out in the end.» 02.Sep.2013
I was finishing a Law assingment, actually.
Tsk tsk. Should have had that completed the night before.
Every one is beating up Samus lately :/![]()
Pic of the day. Now consecutive standard attacks will always transition into a finishing move. This is Fox's finishing kick after his standard combo attack.
Who said that this picture is 200th? I would like to point out that today is 190th picture according to people who counted by daily images.

Leave it to SmashGAF to be disappointed by the announcement of what might be the biggest change to the gameplay so far...
Poor Samus, all she wants to do is fight for the baby.
Today's? I think the edge stuff had bigger implications, probably.Leave it to SmashGAF to be disappointed by the announcement of what might be the biggest change to the gameplay so far...
It's the biggest mechanic change that doesn't completely suck, then.I wouldn't say its the biggest change so far, the ledge stealing/priority seemed way more significant. That said its hard to say how both of these changes will affect the game until it is out.

Gosh I hate the ledge change nonsense. Probably the biggest strike against SSB4 so far for me.
Jiggs incomingSo uhm, Pokémon anniversary tomorrow.

I thought it was going to be great at first. Then I thought it was going to be awful. Now I realize that we have no idea how it actually works. He says something to the effect of 'oh yeah ledge invincibility changes with factors x and y...' but doesn't say in which directions it's proportional to what. It's the biggest mechanic change that doesn't completely suck, then.

Have we ever actually had reveals because of anniversaries? Maybe we have, I honestly don't remember any.
The way I see it, best case scenario it effectively removes edgehogging against tether characters. Worst case scenario is effectively removed edgehogging from the game entirely. I made a long post on the matter a while back, here, if you care to see my reasoning. What's so bad about it?
Although this is true as well. I've already jumped to a lot of conclusions based on what little Sakurai has said about the edge changes, and maybe everything I've said on the matter will turn out to be completely wrong! I kinda hope so, considering all of my conclusions have been pretty pessimistic.I thought it was going to be great at first. Then I thought it was going to be awful. Well, I'm glad the infinites are getting changed up. They were either completely useless (Falcon, Fox, Kirby) or completely broken (Falco, Sheik).
huh?
I thought "standard combo attack" was referring to jab combos
So uhm, Pokémon anniversary tomorrow.
No kidding. On the other hand, that makes browsing through the pages really quick.Wow, you guys need to find something to do. Just went through 7 pages of random nonsense to get to the actual pic. I already saw it on the site, just wanted to read thoughts about it.
That's been happening now-and-then. There actually hasn't been a clean image all week; last one was the Diddy announcement.Interestingly, there is no watermark-less version:

Let's hope TPP beats the Elite 4 by the-hahahaha as if that'd ever happenSo uhm, Pokémon anniversary tomorrow.

Tonight will be nothing but Mewtwo posts. And Sakurai will fake us out by revealing Riolu. So uhm, Pokémon anniversary tomorrow.
I can relate to this. After Brawl, I don't have much faith in the decision maker(s) that's designing these games (in terms of core mechanics anyway). And the edge aspect is an easy one to mess up.Although this is true as well. I've already jumped to a lot of conclusions based on what little Sakurai has said about the edge changes, and maybe everything I've said on the matter will turn out to be completely wrong! Not really, but Pokémon is one of their bigger franchises so I don't see why they wouldn't celebrate it. He might just show some PokéBall Pokémon though.Do you honestly think that we will get other character reveal tomorrow? I meant we already have two characters this months and I can't really see them revealing three characters in row.
Yeah...? What are you getting at here? >.>

Has anyone pointed out yet that we've actually seen this new A-combo change before? You can see it clearly in Little Mac's trailer, 1:20. He hits Fox with rapid punches and, after a handful of attacks, finishes with an uppercut. Most people (myself included) assumed this was him comboing into a tilt or a smash - but with this update explaining, it's obvious this is the kind of "finishing move" Sakurai is talking about.
I think it's an interesting change. Obviously it's put into place to avoid things like jab locks and just wailing on opponents repeatedly with the same move for damage, instead placing emphasis on combos and the like. I wonder if that means the Fan will see significant changes or be cut entirely? After all, its basic purpose was to mash A to wail on opponents in the very way this change removes.
Falco and Sheik's jabs aren't broken by any stretch
So uhm, Pokémon anniversary tomorrow.
