Tomodachi Collection.I'm sure I missed it somewhere, but what series is this from? If it's not Animal Crossing then I'm stumped.
Some Japan only DS game that features Miis.

Every time I see "Tomodachi", I think it's a misspelling of "Tamagotchi"
Paraphrasing Kojima. When asked about Snake being in Smash 4 he said, "I don't know, I am not working on that game. It is doubtful, but if Sakurai is watching please use Snake."
hi guys
So I heard there's massive disappointment everywhere.
So like every other day?
extra disappointment
Tomodachi Collection.

Honestly Kojima can take his wanting Snake and stick it. Even if he know it's doubtful just the joke about it really annoys me for some reason. Nintendo would be beyond stupid to okay this though knowing full well they'll get nothing in return. It's not like Mega Man where Capcom clearly doesn't give a damn about the IP these days. Or Sonic where Nintendo has a good relationship with Sega. What did adding Snake in Brawl result in? A several year old MGS3 on the 3DS of very questionable quality that was undercut before it was even released. There are two Metal Gear Solid games coming out. Why in the hell would Nintendo okay free advertising for that IP towards their already low customer base when they need to get more people to buy their games and systems. Snake just directs more people toward those coming MGS games.

I'm pretty sure Snake being in Brawl had nothing to do with MGS3 3D....

Pic of the day. Looks like someone's enjoying the bachelor life in this pad.

That's, what, 3 Mii stages now?
Hmm... Shit.
Yeah I personally disliked the title and said I didn't think Yoshi would get anounced last night. However, to each their own. Its been a long time since a new character though. The good thing about today's picture is that our thread title still makes sense.

I just don't get the hype. Like, it's Yoshi. Of course he's returning; he's a vet from the first game. Confirmed characters are nice, but building hype for an obvious (and boring) vet makes no sense to me. Hype trains are more appropriate for Directs and half-confirmed newcomers.
I think it had more to do with people expecting a character reveal than Yoshi itself. No one mentioned Yoshi before the thread title got selected and he isnt a good fighter.I just don't get the hype. I really hope we get a Rhythm Heaven stage! And while it'll probably never happen, Karate Joe would work for a Rhythm Heaven playable character.Anyone else hoping desperately for a Rhythm Tengoku stage?
I could understand not having a character as the series doesn't really have a singular mascot, but there would be enough to make a really fun inventive level. If we can have a Tomadachi Collection one then we can have RT too!
Why would they lump different franchises together like that? When has there every been multi-franchise stages like that in Smash Bros. (excluding Summit from Brawl, I guess, which was kind of Ice Climber + Balloon Fight, but mostly Ice Climber)? StreetPass Mii Plaza and Tomodachi Collection are two completely different things. And there's no reason why we can't have multiple Mii related stages. It's not like there haven't been multiple stages for franchises with a single playable character before in Smash Bros., and in this case the stages aren't even from the same franchise, even if they may represent the same character. What if it's not a tomodachi collection stage, but a mii stage, and it just cycles through all mii-related things on 3ds? Like Mii plaza, find mii, garden, etc etc, mii creator, tomodachi collection.

I'm crossing my fingers for Rhythm Monkey myself - monkeys are a recurring motif in the Rhythm Heaven series and Rhythm Monkey was the only Rhythm Heaven character to get a hat in the StreetPass Mii Plaza, which says to me that someone somewhere sees it as a decent rep for the Rhythm Heaven games. Plus, it's a monkey. It would be adorable and awesome.I really hope we get a Rhythm Heaven stage! And while it'll probably never happen, Karate Joe would work for a Rhythm Heaven playable character.
There's always next week for a Mario related reveal, with Mario Party's JP release on the 20th.
I'd guess Wario for that before Yoshi, though.
taking bets on the next character reveal....?
lol nah
There's always every week up to launch for any reveal. There's no reason to keep assuming a reveal will coincide with some release somewhere in the world. Let the hype build naturally with time and confirmation; this artificial hype is depressing.
this thread is all about artificial hype
