Just saw it had Brinstar Depths music, the dream is dead, we're not getting that stage back ever.

So I've been playing the demo with my friends, and it appears to me that you can't pause the game while playing multiplayer. Is that true in the final game? I loved having ridiculous things happen in the previous games, pausing, and capturing the moment with the game's pause-camera type feature. Is that in the final game, maybe? I'd miss it if it wasn't.

You'll probably be able to pause the game in multiplayer on the Wii U.
I imagine it's difficult to do that though when using multiple systems.
Yes you can't. You can save that match (as long as it's 17 minutes & below) and view it another time for screenshot purpose though. And that's better since it doesn't break the match flow
Also, didn't know the limit was 17 minutes. Cool beans!
Impa deconfirmed
If you want to see her trophy better
Actually, that's called "Impa (Ocarina of Time)", like the Falco (Assault) Trophy in Brawl, or other trophies representing alternate versions of playable characters in others games, rather than just "Impa", so it wouldn't rule out a playable Impa. It still probably won't happen though...

this is called combo DI
all the top players do it to entertain their fans
Oh you can record matches up to 17 minutes? That's awesome.
Have you seen what Master Core does to the stage?3DS can't handle the god kraid and the stage turning anyway, believe in wii u version
I still think impa would have been a perfect 'Alph'-style costume for sheik. Oh well. I mean, I guess, technically, impa never did the same things sheik did... but then again, neither did sheik. The only thing sheik does that is from OoT is the smoke bomb
Nintendo is really getting this gameplay recording thing down.
MK8 was a great start and not Smash. I can't wait for Smash U to see it.

Only downside is that there is no way to export it. No way to share it. Nothing. Unless you have a capture card installed. I'm hoping they allow sharing/exporting on Wii U, and MAYBE NEW3DS. It's currently just a block of game-data, so it can be replayed/paused, etc within game.
On the plus side, you can basically record any online match, too. Really nice if you had a great 'for glory' fight you wanna show off. You can also view online replays for all of the matches that happened previously. You pick a mode (fun/glory), a type (1v1, ffa, team), and a character, and it'll show you a replay from a random online match. Really cool way to learn a character if you pick the mode you're interested in learning and the character.
Already managed to get 14000 coins in 2 days of playing demo. Is this crack or something?
Pikachu is really good, but the Thunder seems nerfed compared to previous versions. Can no longer spam for easy kill lol
The next Nintendo console will be the Wii G.
Century of Luigi.

I feel like thunder got buffed, well at least with the way I use thunder. It is true that you can't spam them off the top with it as easily anymore though.
I have a firm grasp of the basic gameplay and feel pretty good against most of the CPU levels but when I watch people play online it's like they are working from a whole different moveset. Does this come with practice or am I missing something? Is there a good guide online for taking your smash game to the next level? Preferable written for 3ds. Thanks, this is my first Smash game and it's crack.
Thunder seems more of a defense move now than before. Once executed, even when Pikachu gets hit it will still push through, unlike before that gets canceled easily when hit. And it locates to the point where Pikachu was at the start of the attack. Really good at interrupting approaching enemies. I like it also that Pikachu can instantly move after the attack.
Does anyone have the game and video capture equipment?
If so, I'd like to make a request: Could someone please take footage of a no-items match on Mute City's normal form? A three-stock match between high-level CPUs would be great. And if I may request characters, Bowser Jr. vs. Bowser vs. Duck Hunt vs. ROB (all default colors) would be great.
I mainly want to see extended footage of Mute City's normal form. I've scoured YouTube, and the best I can find is roughly 30 seconds.
I'd really appreciate if anyone can help out with this request.
yeah I do wish I could export it, might have an sd card dedicated to solely this until that becomes a thing if ever(unless I'm wrong and it doesn't save to your SD card, but I'm pretty sure it does)
I can deal with level 8 CPUs alright, but level 9s are too hard for me. I think it's just, the reaction speed on them, it's crazy. With level 8s I have about 75% success rate, but with level 9s its more like 30%, probably less.
I'm not that great at Smash, to be honest. So, that's probably a big part of it.
That sounds amazing. Although Makai puts Kanye West music, etc, over his matches. I want to see normal Mute City with the Mute City music (either version) and everything.Me and Makai had possibly the greatest Falcon ditto in Smash 4 history on normal Mute City. Not sure if it was recorded, unfortunately >_<

There aren't really any 3DS guides so far (barely anyone really knows what they're doing!), but Smash guides in general should help.I have a firm grasp of the basic gameplay and feel pretty good against most of the CPU levels but when I watch people play online it's like they are working from a whole different moveset. yep it is true. 1m both digital & physical combinedHey, according to certain sites, Smash has sold more than 1 million in the past two days. However I can't find the source for this, only the game sites reporting it. Can anyone confirm this?

Too bad you can apparently only tranfer 500 coins into the final game.Already managed to get 14000 coins in 2 days of playing demo. Is this crack or something?

It gives me an SD card message and picture of the SD card when saving replays, so I assume it does
I don't think the replay files are terribly huge, but I haven't checked. Like I said, they're in-game data, not video, so they should be pretty tiny (comparatively).
I tried checking my SD card, but as usual those random gibberish file names confusing me :lol
Don't forget that CPU players will invariably differ from humans, especially at higher levels. No matter how good a human player can be, they probably won't have the ability to read your inputs and perform frame-perfect actions consistently.
I am probably worse than you (I'm really bad), but CPUs are very predictable so even someone who sucks can beat them quite consistently. After you play them a lot, you basically figure out what works and what doesn't. With Villager, almost everything works. :lol
