How different will the games be? I know there will be a few exclusive maps on each version, but other than that is it just the graphics, or do they play diffrently?

Did anyone managed to finish a hour youtube of Wii U and 30 minutes youtube of 3DS yet? I want to know if anyone spotted anything new?

We have no idea about that. I think we wouldn't find out until we get both.

There will at least be different single player modes for each version. 3DS has Smash Run and Wii U will presumably have its own unique modes.

It's more than a few exclusive stages, they're only known to share three of them at this point.

3DS has some exclusive modes that also tie into every player having their own screen, but we don't know much besides that.

Both versions have different exclusive modes as well. 3DS has Smash Run, the WiiU one isn't known yet.

Controls also feel significantly different.

Still watching that hour long video lol. One thing that really STOOD out is how exaggerated Pit is with his attacks now. He yells and grunts so much he makes Link seem toned down.

What the HECK?!

I actually really like Wolf's Assault voice. I wouldn't be super upset if Falco went back, and I don't hate Fox's 64 voice, but Wolf's is great and should stay.

Yeah Wolf's Assault and Brawl voice (similar, but different VA) are sexy as fuck and fitting.

Did this ever get officially confirmed? Like these were really early shots from the 3DS version?

No idea. Some people are saying that those were probably faked.

No reason to suspect that they were ever real, too many discrepancies from the final model (you can say "but models change over development time" but we have no reason to think that).

Day 1 I trying lady palutena, little mac, Wii Fit trainer and Charazaid and maybe DK. Nintendo better have a killer promotion campaign for this game on Wii U.

Not that I care if that old Palutena leak was real or but not we actually have plenty of reason to think things change over time. Sakurai mentioned very early on how things were subject to change visually. There is a Wii U screen shot where Peach would normally hold up her dress during some animation but she is holding nothing instead. And I'm not entirely sure but I noticed Donkey Kong gained this little upper lip thing at E3, pretty sure it wasn't there at E3 2013.

Im watching the treehouse for smash and idk what some people are talking about but this game clearly looks faster than brawl

For some reason, Palutena's inclusion feels miles more surreal than the rest of the newcomers to me and I don't know why. Pac-Man and Little Mac were my two most wanted newcomers and after my initial excitement for them, it felt like they've always been in Smash. The same goes for the other newcomers. Palutena is a different story. She was an obvious choice, yet I'm still trying to wrap my head around her inclusion. I can't look at her trailer or screenshots and not go "Palutena is actually in Smash Bros." Maybe it's because she exudes such a godly aura. She looks really big, her design looks really intricate, and her attacks look really mystical and majestic. She's like a playable boss.

Well, that's definitely a sentiment that can be used to fuel the delusions of a certain character's fanbase...

But I kind of do know what you mean - she's similar to Rosalina and maybe Ganondorf for me in that while she's seemingly an obvious choice, there's also a marked difference in status and role between her and the rest of the cast. Though even Rosalina (and, considering HW, Ganondorf) were playable eventually...perhaps this is a sign we may get a Kid Athena one day?

I have that same feeling, like if there was a teams match palutena would be the only one on a team of 2 vs 2

It's to make the inclusion of Hades replacing Chrom less of a big thing...

So, uh, Bowser?

The difference between her and Rosalina is that Palutena is a goddess who looks like a goddess and has godly looking moves. Rosalina is a bit more tame.

Ganondorf is interesting. I SHOULD feel the same way about Palutena as I do him, but he's never lived up to his potential in Smash. His moves look very basic, which works for Captain Falcon, but doesn't work for Ganondorf. He could use a nice dose of Palutena.

So, uh, Bowser?
Not really. For one thing I'm already accustomed to Bowser since he's been in the past two games, but also, Bowser doesn't have the same kind of presence as Palutena.

And Bowser as a playable character is also something we've had a while to get used to, due to his role in the RPGs, sports spinoffs, Mario Kart, etc. For Ganondorf,
Ridley
and Palutena, Smash is their only playable appearance - and while Palutena conveys that sense of heightened status you'd expect from a boss character, I agree that Ganondorf is really lacking. Hopefully, we'll get less "uff uff uff" in SSB4.
