There's a handful of default Miis you can pick in games with Miis in lieu of using your own. The "true" default Mii could be considered the default face that the Mii Maker begins with when you start making a Mii.

I think there are default Miis you can use in games as a guest player so you don't have to make another if you only have one on your system.
