Wellp... that's it. Pac-man and game and watch... and... a few extra details about customization we could have extrapolated on our own. That's that! Probably it for character reveals. Everyone else will probably unlockable or in a september direct.

We could get another smash reveal at tomorrow's 3ds roundtable if the character ties into that game...

Reggie is wearing his samus pin tomorrow...

Guys, Miis are banned in randoms because their movesets and stats can be customized. Other fighters with custom movesets and stats are banned for the same reason.

If Nintendo thought offensive Miis were a problem, they wouldn't have allowed them in Mario Kart.

Michael "TYP" Cole: There is a jet pack item. Sweet.

Michael "TYP" Cole: Warp lets you jump to a different area of the map in smash run.
7:42
Neal Ronaghan: Reiterating: we can't take photos.
7:44
Neal Ronaghan: Smash Run can end with a regular battle, a throwing contest or a running contest
7:44
Michael "TYP" Cole: The final battle of snash run is random. It could be a standard battle or something odd like who can throw items the farthest
7:45
Neal Ronaghan: Q&A time!
7:45
Michael "TYP" Cole: They are opening the floor to questions
7:45
Neal Ronaghan: First question: why would you want to release the different versions far apart?

Michael "TYP" Cole: Q: Why would you want to release the 2 games mo's apart
7:46
Michael "TYP" Cole: Sakurai cites need for debugging
7:46
Neal Ronaghan: Biggest reason is debug process. it is a really big game. They need several hundred testers and splitting the release gives them more time to space it out
7:47
Michael "TYP" Cole: The debug teamis large and cannot handle both games in parallel, and they want to give both games their full concentration
7:47
Michael "TYP" Cole: Q: why are character tansformations removed?

good questions so far

BS answer for the second.

Michael "TYP" Cole: Q: why are character tansformations removed?
7:48
Michael "TYP" Cole: A: we want people to focus on single characters more deeply

"Why are character transformations removed"

Uh....they're not?

Edit: Oops, I thought they meant for final smashes, they mean for stuff like Zelda/Sheik and Samus/Zamus. Got it.

Not correct. They just confirmed every character has 12 "moves" to be customized. They just don't want Hitler beating up on Pikachu, which is a bit different than Mario Kart (and the Mario Kart team probably didn't find an issue with it or didn't think about it as much).

Ugh @ them asking questions we already know answers to.

I swear someone is going to ask about Smash Run next.

Namco can release a fighting game on multiple consoles at once, but Namco and Nintendo have trouble doing qa on a release for the Wii U and 3ds at the same time?

Yeah they are. Zelda/Shiek are totally separate characters and can't transform. Samus/ZSS is the same.

Pokemon Trailer doesn't appear to have made the cut and only Charizard is confirmed.
