Seen that characters have three victory poses each.

Now who was I arguing with a few weeks ago? 2 or 3 people were convinced because of the E3 demo we would only have a single victory pose for each character this time around. I love when people make such absolute statements only for the other possibilities to become reality. It humbles the know it alls for the following Smash title and it's hype session.

IMPRESSIONS AFTER TEN GAMES ALL AS LINK VS LEVEL 9 CPUS

+OH MY GOD
+Link certainly feels buffed. Even his side smash with one strike and no charge can send people flying and KO. I love his jump attack as well since it gives him some much needed mobility and doesn't have significant landing lag.
+This game is FAST. It is noticeably more fast-paced than Brawl in terms of everything. Yes, there will always be those who say Melee or Bust, but I can see a lot of people enjoying the pacing of this game.
+The music is incredible. Easily the best opening theme and menu music in Smash history.
+Got six kills in two minutes in one match get on my level.

+/-The controls certainly take some getting used to. Maybe because I haven't even played Brawl in two or three years so I'm rusty. They do start to click though. It just feels weird to play Smash on something besides a GCN controller that I've used for thirteen years and still have. Also I keep wanting to C-stick. I do feel pressing up to jump on the stick isn't as responsive as it could be, though maybe it just takes practice.
+/-Glancing on the bottom screen to see who is at a high percentage in order to secure a KO takes some time. I'm just so used to seeing all that info on the bottom of the screen.

-GUST BELLOWS MOST BROKEN ITEM IN GAMING

General other info:

The ATs I've seen are Mother Brain, Isabelle, Ghirahim, Samurai Goroh, Dark Samus, Color Game 15, Andross, Chain Chomp, and Lyn. Mother Brain has quite a bit of knockback on her attack.

Daybreaker is in the game but I haven't seen it used.

You can't throw boxes as far compared to before in my observation.

A lot of new food.

I AM HYPED YES

What bet did you lose?

A newcomer announced this week, was supposed to end this friday which would have been rather fitting since the chances for a newcomer announcement that day are pretty high, but Skullhydra convinced me to make wednesday the deadline instead ;_;

I wanna know something that hasn't been touched on (and I haven't seen videos yet lol) how are the loading times? The E3 demo actually puts you on a waiting room before every single match, -and- loads yet again in a screen showing you the controls; has that been toned down here?

Looking at the M2K stream, I'm beginning to think the Villager might be bullshit. His pocket gives him brief invincibility, and it looks like they're looking to exploit the shit out of that lol. Villager is the new MetaKnight.

Villager almost KOing someone at 0% with pocketed charged bowling ball.

Villager banned from teams. :>

God bless post-release patches.
If it ends up being broken then I'm sure they will fix it.

Things are different this time compared to Brawl's days. There will definitely be patches since there's gonna be DLC.

What does it play like?

I'd probably say for me it's 60% brawl but with a few of the bad decisions removed, 10% stuff from Melee and 64 with the rest being it's own quirks, if the game is quantifiable like this in any way whatsoever.

Game will probably go down to 40% Brawl for me once we get to try out all the characters as well as throw custom moves into the mix.

-GUST BELLOWS MOST BROKEN ITEM IN GAMING

Daybreaker is in the game but I haven't seen it used.

Gust Bellows is indeed broken. So easy to gimp recovery at low percent, and throwing it can make it sometimes spin around like crazy and just randomly gust out wind in different directions

Daybreaker is pretty powerful, KO'd at low percentages, you basically aim it like Marth's FS

Bob-ombs when walking around can sometimes be picked up, sometimes running into them/hitting them makes them explode. I noticed picking up Electrode seems easier too?

Cuccos seem to be 30FPS

S-Flag takes a decent amount of time to give you +1, wasn't really an exaggeration when someone here says it takes like 5 seconds

Yeah, that shit was fucking insane. There's a reason they're only playing with Villager now smh. I hope Nintendo's down for post release patches to characters though. That bowling ball needs to be nerfed.

And I just realized if this is anything like reflectors in gaining power, just pass the balling ball twice between villagers.

BANNED. :v

Seriously though someone should test this if they are able. Get two villagers make them pass charged bowling balls between each other and see if it's instant afhakfhgjdkflsfjlsflslfaldkal.

Played about seven or so match as Villager.

+All of his moves are simply hilarious. If you love Animal Crossing you will get a laugh out of how many references they manage to pack in.
+Tanooki Villager is too adorable for words.
+His moves have a lot of knock back. Even his bowling ball at low percentages can send someone flying. His aerial sling shot also has a surprising amount of knock back. A common theme is that his moves may not do a lot of damage, but can send you back farther than you expected. His up smash ironically isn't a KO move at all.
+It's very easy to abuse the balloons. Villager is someone you're going to have to blast out of the arena instead of playing cutesy edge games.

-His tree move... maybe someone will figure this out but I simply don't get it. Maybe you're supposed to plant it, then down smash, then chop it, but that take so much set up for something that may not pay off at all.
-He is very floaty. People who don't like this may not like him at all, but I didn't mind.

Planting the tree/cutting it down might work fine for edge guarding, but the biggest benefit seems to be that if you have a tree out, you get access to axe on Down+B, which seems like a decent move with great knockback at low percents...and you can use it anywhere on the screen, doesn't have to be near the tree. But after some time the tree disappears.

Also it's just down+B (plant sapling) -> down+B (water sapling to make tree grow)
No down smashing (shovel) needed.

Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel. Yabuki turned off voice chat in Mario Kart races. True artists of their time.

When it's growing it can launch opponents away, too. It's not something you're really suppose to put priority to. Between each planting phase you can use the newly acquired down-special against your opponent. The watering pale can push people, and the axe can be used as an attack.

Soooo... the demo will be out for us on the Treehouse Event on Friday?
Nobody will watch the event if they reveal that right at the beginning... xD
