yeah back when bison was cool (vanilla)

now he's just a bunch of purple derpness. Makes me sad what these players in SSF4 and AE get away with...and on top of that think they are hot shit for it too :(

Bison is so similar to vanilla, your post doesn't make any sense. I should know, I've been playing him for almost 3 years now. He has always derp, embrace it.

Yea i played him in vanilla too. He is very similar even now. Super just improved his psycho crushers and have him a useful ultra. He still had his crouch shorts and his roundhouse damage and his other stupid shit.

His offense was always derp, his defense, not so much. There was (admittedly small) risk involved in doing anything from his moveset in vanilla, and now that small risk is effectively zero risk. What should he be afraid of now? DP into ultra? He also had a not so great comeback factor in vanilla, that changed in super. (oh hi U2). His escape options increased as well. (lol EX PC hitbox)

His lolbutton (st.RH) would actually get him into trouble if misused (could lead to a TON of damage against him, which in turn with his weaker comeback potential would make it a move that you would at least, sometimes have to consider second guessing. Now? Throw it out as much as you want. What is anyone gunna do about it?

Looking back he was indeed derp in vanilla (but so was a lot of the cast), but it's nothing compared to how he is now. He is almost balrog levels of brainless.

I specifically remember you complaining about PC's hitbox in Vanilla and you being happy when you heard it crossed up in Super. People change and all, it's just funny to hear this now.

People definitely do change. AZ_Greg trolled me the other day digging up old posts of mine just before SSF4 launched, and my positive outlook towards it. And I'm sure the same can be said of a lot of people.

I have never changed.

Brawling For Boobies

On February 28, 2000 I lost my mother to breast cancer. It has been a long 11 years for my family and I. Over time I realized that the brand I have built can be a great tool to raise donations to help others cope and endure with losing a loved one to this illness.

My Take Radio in partnership with Unveil NYC, Middleeasy and MMA Valor will be hosting an XBOX Live community gaming event called Brawling For Boobies. Every weeknight starting on 10/24 we will host lobbies for some of the fighting games we all love. Gamers participating are asked to donate what they can in order to participate for that evenings play.

Here are the tentative titles and dates.
10/24- Mortal Kombat
10/25-EA MMA
10/26-Marvel v Capcom 3
10/27-UFC Undisputed
10/28 Super Street Fighter 4 AE/ SF3 Third Strike Online.

Gameplay will begin at 9pm est and end 11pm est. On Friday since there are two titles we will extend playtime until 12am.

You do not need to play if want to donate. We are doing this to promote community play for a good cause so every little bit helps. We will leave our donation page open till the end of the month.
Posted from the thread. Will be streamed and Noel Brown will be playing on Wednesday.

Damn, poongkos biggest adversary is himself.

Stop it with the high/low short/jab showoff combos!!! They suck  and put you in trouble 99% of the time you try them.

Playing Sasaki Cody right now. Just won.

Lost to a 4000PP Rufus. Mid-screen Galactic Tornado (into the corner) → UC1 FTW.

Not bad though, beat Sasaki (twice), Tonpy, Tsukimiya, and Chobixinco (#1 BP Rufus).

Cammy A-Tier? Any pro players even main Cammy? I'd love to watch some high-level Cammy play, see how people deal with Honda and Guile at that level.

That tier list seems more geared for Japan, where they have more character specialists and arcade head-to-head.

I keep thinking back to what Filipino Champ said in the two Cross Counter videos. In Japan, we know for sure they have Dan, Guy, Gen, T.Hawk, Claw, Makoto, Yun, Yang (not auto pilot twins), Sakura, etc dedicated players.

It just doesn't seem the same here, which then leads to the arguments without actual data, factual info about who is best and who isn't. Plus we also have to contend with the age of the game and changes between different versions.

Like Damdai said, ST is almost 20 years old and people are still discovering things.

Am i the only one who thinks Ken is at least better than Cammy, Sagat and Zangief?

looking at Michael Tan's and Momochi's Ken, then yes.

He's just a really hard character to master. No pun intended.

Justin plays Cammy and his is pretty good. Even though he doesn't use max damage combos his setups are all really good. Still, she's probably B tier.

what system/s you got it on? I'm PC and XBL.

"Its cHaotix" for both PC and XBL.

It's probably just tournament viability (still doesn't explain why Ken who AT MOST loses one or two matchups is B) since Gief is so high and Abel and Sim are so low.

Don't tier go by how many matches are at an advantage for the character. So since Ken has a lot of 5-5s hr's lower than someone who would have a lot of 6-4s and 7-3s but also has a few 2-8s.

Then again, for the most part, you can ignore tiers.SSIV isn't like MvC3 where one character clearly dominates.
