Momochi more or less implies in this interview that people are vastly exaggerating the extent of Cody's buffs and although he's happy with the buffs Cody still remains a character with obvious weaknesses (something he doesn't mind since that's what which makes Cody interesting). So I don't think he'll be top tier.

Cody will definitely be upper mid tier but top tier is doubtful. He is still pretty free on wakeup.
Cody's mixup are really something else so yeah I'm also looking forward to see how much more he'll squeeze out of that character.

So, AE 2012 is right around the corner.
I do hope this is the last version of SF4. I mean, even though I thought AE was worse in terms of balance than Super, it was still really fun. And if the balance gets to that level, I'm happy.
For the next sequel, I do hope tighter controls and tighter reversal windows. I wouldn't even mind simplified controls, just don't do it in a way that makes shit overlap with each other.
