Game runs like crap after the update,I average 88FPS without AA, about 57-60 with, since the update without AA 23FPS and 10-15 with AA, I still have SF4 install and i am getting 90 FPS with out AA....update broke something....

Dude, I've bought SF4 8 times, all 3 versions spanning 3 different platforms. If I like SFxT, I'll probably get the 3 main versions eventually, at least before the end of this year.

Pre update mine was fine (constant 60fps, 1080p) but since the update it pretty much runs like shit. Strangely, Fraps says it's still going at a fixed 60fps but both playing the game and my eyes say otherwise. It's very stuttery now compared to its former butter like state. I haven't seen anyone else complain about this though (quick browse of Steam forums) apart from you and myself though. Hrmm.

I noticed a hit to smoothness as well, but it's more of an intermittent issue than a direct drop in fps.

Yeah, that sounds like my problem. Start and end of the match is fine but when things start happening the frame rate sometimes takes a hit - even though Fraps says it's running at a smooth 60fps. The system test thing runs perfectly though. I still get an A rank and there aren't any performance issues like I get during gameplay. Maybe it's the input device we're using (Wii Tatsunkoko stick)?
I'm gonna try and bump the res down a bit to see if that helps. Or I might just stick with 3rd Strike for a bit longer. Gah.

That's odd my MadCatz TE and my Saturn controller via USB adapter both worked fine about 2 mins ago. Everything that recognized should show up under your controller options.
I think so. Make sure it's updated. On the in-game config controls screen, try moving left or right to cycle through detected devices to configure. I think it defaults to keyboard on the config screen without a 360 controller detected. This stumped me at first until I realized I had to scroll right. Just going by memory.

It go to control settings in the game and map the buttons.
Some sticks will default to all NO ACTION, so you have to remap the thing first.
Unless of course it's not even showing up in the control settings. Then I dunno what to do.
mostly starcraft 2.
my casual pc playing thumb is blistering from even the smallest amount of oiling. ;_;

I thought my game was running slow pre update. The game felt like it was stuttering to much yet Fraps showed a constant 60 fps, and I always get an A for the benchmark. I turned some settings down, mainly turned the shadows to low. The game feels a lot smoother now.
PC runs just same as prepatch for me. Runs great but I also dont have the steam version.
Shoulda got dat 360. Coulda took me on SfxT come tuesday.

PC patches can be downloaded directly from Microsoft

1st patch was tu10000081_10000181.cab, 2nd was tu10000081_10000281.cab, etc.
You only need the latest (tu10000081_10000481.cab). Just extract the content directory and run setup. I had to do this for Batman since GFWL update kept failing. Hope that helps.

PC Controller problem resolved.
the problem was a connected 360 controller that overrided all USB controllers.
so I unplug the evil 360 controllers then it recognize me regular USB controllers

I beat the No. 3 Blanka on XBL ^_^.....while he was playing Cammy. lol (I beat him with Fuerte, Ryu, Guile and Zangief). He played his main ONCE out of 8 matches. Boo this man -_-
EDIT: Yeah...it's tard night. @_@ I've played 5 different people and they all left (I kicked one guy) due to immense amounts of salt. I could tell that all of them were "win or lose, I'm leaving lol" players....just by the way they were playing. One Ken spammed DP, one reasonably good Dhalsim was shocked to run into an even better Fuerte (heh), one Cody did the same shit over and over (and almost won if it weren't due to some random shit that saved my ass) and another Fuerte just spammed his run. His RUN. I think it's time I called it a night.
And also, I beat wutongshu (if anyone is familiar with this player) for the 1st time =p I will never forget the time when I was just about to beat him. I did a meaty (??) c.HK on his wake-up and he did a reversal ultra. I was so damn salty. lol That was about a year ago. I finally avenged my lost....and then won again after that

Yea, I find this kinda annoying when people give off that air of "you're not worthy of fighting my main". Not saying that they should feel compelled to play only their main, but sometimes a character specialist will have dumb habits or play really stupidly when using other characters that they clearly don't use and I'll just get annoyed.
